I'm sure our MN friends can tell us more about his actual game but I do recall him being one of the first 2022-eligible guys in Minnesota to start generating buzz when he put up big numbers with Holy Family as an underclassman. That said he took a big step up to Edina this past season and while he tied for the team lead in scoring, it doesn't look like it was a powerhouse season for them and I know PuckPreps has his sophomore teammate Jimmy Clark listed as the more high end prospect.
Heading to the BCHL and then ASU leads me to believe Fechko is probably not a "top" NHL prospect - that's not to besmirch what ASU has done in establishing a really nice pipeline to high-level D1 Minnesota HS prospects. But being a quality D1 recruit and top NHL prospect are different worlds. Nothing on Fechko's resume or path is screaming top NHL prospect to me.
