A pretty interesting case. The guy played in the MHL last season, and his statistics wasn't anything special (21+26 in 60 gp). This season he was moved to the big club and all of a sudden started to score goals and points. He's 12+10 after 49 games right now. You can't say it's a great statistics even for 20 yo player, but it's a progress, that he's made, impresses. And he leads his team in scoring.

Btw, I've heard, if a prospect plays in a league, that doesn't have an agreement with the NHL, he can be picked untill the age 21 at the NHL draft. Is it true?

It's not about the agreement, it's about European leagues in general, so in the coming draft European league players born in 1998 are still eligible for the draft.
