Ryan Merkley comes to mind (not sure if it's common, but "literally never" is literally not true lol).

From what I understand, Merkley's biggest problem is hockey sense and adaptability. I've never heard him described as a hardass. I have heard that he may be a bit of a loner, but I don't speak from first-hand experience.

Is he going to Nashville? Or just travelling in Russia

He was traded from Guelph during their OHL Championship season because he treated several of his teammates so poorly that at least 2 requested trades to get away from the situation (and got them) and he was still too much of a pain in the ass as a teammate/in the dressing room so they moved him for a pretty low return to Peterborough (who then apparently got sick of him enough that they made it known he wasn't welcome back, and everyone wondered where he would play until they finally traded him for again a low return for a player of his skill to London). He may have gotten that part together in London, but it was a well known issue with him in the OHL.

Yes, I've read about this before and not convinced it's analogous. And, as mentioned before, Merkley has on-ice limitations that prevent him from meeting his presumed potential.

When Michkov played vs SKA-1946, I saw him talking to Ivan Demidov in a very friendly manner. So even if he had some problems inside the team it was obviously not with everybody. And then SKA-1946's coach was fired, when Matvei wasn't already on the team for pretty long so there probably were problems with the management.

Interesting, will mister Sun Zehao be present at the draft? Should sit near Michkov, after all, he helped his draft stock a lot this season

Can’t help think we see sparks early in the draft and someone moves up to grab him. There is a GM out there who believes he’s on par with Bedard. Him being at the draft only increases the chances IMO. Dubois + 18 OA for 5th OA and he’s a Jet or some surprise like that.

What? You got it backwards.

However, getting to know the prospect has been a tough task, and taking that, rumored "character issues" and a lengthy KHL contract that doesn't expire until 2026 into account, some believe his draft stock could fall. And for some, there's speculation brewing that's what Michkov may want, per Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.

Friedman said on 32 Thoughts that numerous teams have been trying to get in contact with Michkov to get to know him before making their draft day decisions. However, meeting with the Russian has been nearly impossible.

"Teams want to get to know who they’re dealing with here. What I'm hearing is that in Russia, the teams that could get there to meet him, it wasn’t easy to get to talk to him. You would try to talk to him, set up appointments; he just wasn’t interested," Friedman said. "Like someone said to me the only way you could really get to talk to him was if you physically got to him right after a game and talked to him for a couple of minutes."
