I'm going to quote all of the nonsense that was spewed in this thread when Michkov comfortably puts up 50 points by the season's end. If you think that's ridiculous, probably check yourself and do some simple math. Extrapolating his production from last year's Sochi stint comes out to 48 points in 65 games. And they only started giving him 1st line minutes 50-75% of the way through the stint.

Great news for Michkov. SKA is a joke and squandering a potentially big offensive weapon for this season. Rotenberg is just a big ego guy who needs to be the big man and have any credit for team success flow to him, but everyone sees through his nonsense.

he was a non-factor in the mhl last season
you mean in the 4 games he played in the playoffs with Sochi's MHL team? did as well as you can expect him to, Sochi's MHL team kapitan is, much like their khl team last year, a bottom feeder team and Michkov was still over a PPG or close to, playing against SKA's mhl team who had demidov and buchelnikov + others, theres not much more he could have done

Lol imagine complaint about a 4 game MHL sample, a league he’s dominated since he was 13

So, again I was right. I predicted trouble for Michkov with making of SKA roster. Funny that some people still cling to the "Michkov is a fantastic center" narrative, even though at this point it is obvious that Rotenberg just tried to find a space for him.

Even if he does score this much, which he most likely will not, it is still just a farm team. This 50 pts are not as valuable or impressive

Great news. He should enter this season with a chip on his shoulder and maybe that was Rotenberg’s plan all along.

@Garl the fact that you think Rotenberg, with zero achievements and barely any experience, has any credibility as a coach immediately shows you just arbitrarily say things.

Sochi still plays games against the same KHL teams everyone else does. It makes no difference how good or not good they are. In fact, in a similar situation, a lot of people are trying to dial back the expectations for Connor Bedard's point production this year because he's playing for the "farm team" Chicago Blackhawks.

When your team is shit.. you spend less time in the offensive zone. Do you see how backwards you are?
