If you think that's ridiculous, probably check yourself and do some simple math. Extrapolating his production from last year's Sochi stint comes out to 48 points in 65 games. And they only started giving him 1st line minutes 50-75% of the way through the stint.

Even if he does score this much, which he most likely will not, it is still just a farm team. This 50 pts are not as valuable or impressive

@Garl the fact that you think Rotenberg, with zero achievements and barely any experience, has any credibility as a coach immediately shows you just arbitrarily say things.

Sochi still plays games against the same KHL teams everyone else does. It makes no difference how good or not good they are. In fact, in a similar situation, a lot of people are trying to dial back the expectations for Connor Bedard's point production this year because he's playing for the "farm team" Chicago Blackhawks.

When your team is shit.. you spend less time in the offensive zone. Do you see how backwards you are?
