Pretty bang on I agreeI don't think he's under the radar, he's pretty one-dimensional. Definitely knows how to shoot the puck though.

So fair to say he would be a good complimentary guy given he is the last guy to get the puck in the O-zone?He works really hard from what I have heard, coachable but doesnt ooze hockey sense. Gets to play with really good players this season.

I have been to 9 games this season, I wouldnt personally be taking him before the 4th round. he has good hands and a good shot but I havent seen him create alot this year. Not sure he has the ability to get to the soft spots to score at the next level.
I know they are draft eligible next year but he is the third best 17 year old forward on the team so its hard to be impressed with him when Marco Rossi and Jack Quinn look to be much better players moving forward.
Do you think he skates with knocknees? I also like Marco Rossi and Jack Quinn better too.
You wouldn’t take him in the top 4 rounds? I’ve seen 5 games from Clarke+the top prospects game (so you have seen more than me) but I don’t agree with what you said. I think Clarke creates chances but is a bit snakebit, I notice him every shift. He has a real good shot (that he tries too much to get top corner) and he has really quick instincts from what I’ve seen. I think he can explode offensively next season, he needs to simplify his game a bit at times and for sure work on his skating. There aren’t 120+ guys in this draft I’d take over him. (I’ve got him early second right now) his improvement over this season has been noticeable as well

For what it's worth I've watched almost all of his games this year (missed the top prospects game though) and I have him as a late 3rd rounder. No where near early second. I disagree with you that he creates chances and is noticeable every shift. Maybe for the games you watched, but over the course of the season he's been not nearly engaged enough. There's a reason he's been bumped down to the 4th line in Ottawa after they acquired a few forwards.
To be fair, he did dislocate his shoulder earlier this season, and injuries during a draft year are always tough.
There are big holes in his game to me and I dont see him being able to fill a specific role in the NHL. Mostly his hockey IQ he doesnt think the game at an elite level. If you are a 67's fan you have a direct comparison to look two other 2001 birth year forwards in Quinn and Rossi who both show high levels of hockey sense game in game out.
I just dont see him as an NHL er for a few reasons he isnt big, fast, strong enough or play style to fill out a bottom 6 role. I dont see the IQ to find the soft spots, speed or strength to be a goal scorer at the NHL level. Doesnt mean it wont happen he is only 17 but I personally have not seen it. What he is good at are his hands, his shot and his work ethic. However you need elite speed or high level hockey IQ for that to transfer to the NHL level. Like I said its early in his career and anything can happen however he will need to improve his skating and strength to become an NHL player. I dont think you can learn or teach hockey sense and that is something that he likely never has.
