One of my biggest sleepers in the draft, i think he'll catch a lot of people off guard in the future. He has so many tools, really smart player.

Panarin matured in Russia. I doubt this guy will become anything but another great junior player.

Mikhnin didn't have a chance to immediately play in the KHL, like Panarin. He was raised in SKA, Panarin in Vityaz. If supposing that Mikhnin was raised in Vityaz or Metallurg Nk system, he would have had a some more ice-time in the KHL. In a year or two.

What's your point? He is now in a worse development environment. Who cares what could have been?

Panarin WORKED his way through all systems and teams. He was riding the pine with AkBars for a whole season(and the coach then admitted now it was a mistake). Panarin never took the easy way out and EARNED his ice time in the KHL. He earned his ice time with SKA btw.

Mikhnin just jumped over the pond because SKA, because this, because that. That's a bad sign to me.

Anyway, just as a fact - Mikhnin was one of the leaders of Rimouski this season. He's 17. Only 4 guys have more points than Mikhnin - Boland (20), Montcalm (20), Laberge (19) and D'Astous (18). In play-off Mikhnin have 2 goals (only one in Rimouski) and 3 points overall - leads the team with Boland (20) and Grice (18).

Did Denis need to play in the MHL? The level of the QMJHL is on average much higher. If you think that this indicates his low working capacity, well, time will tell. But he was great this season.

Yeah, that must be the reason why all our players score the double in the QMJHL than in the MHL :help:

That's not an argument, the CHL is a high scoring junior league, doesn't mean it's lesser talent than any low scoring junnior league elswhere ...

Provorov came from a 19pts season in the USHL to a 60 pts season in the CHL, clearly the USHL is far superior ...

Ovechkin came from a 26 pts season in the Pre-KHL Russian league to a 100+ pts per season NHLer, clearly the old Russian league was way better than the NHL ...

Pastrnak came from the Allsvenskan with 0,66pts per game and became a 1,0+ ppg in the AHL and 0,59 in the NHL, means the Allsvenskan is way better than the AHL ans almost on par with the NHL ...

It's just tougher to score on some league, doesn't mean the league is better because of that.

Signed a 2-year extension with Kazakhstan's team Sariarka Karaganda (playing in the VHL) after being traded there in the middle of the season.
