Hadn't seen much about this player. 5'11" winger. Scored a pretty sweet goal in the OHL vs Russia game. Another talented Russian that goes undrafted that comes back to bite NHL teams? Put up good MHL numbers last season. Looking for some Russian poster input here.

Pretty dynamic and flashy, got good hands and vision. I'd like to see him adding more muscles though and I'm not yet totally convinced about his decision making.

According to his agent, there is some interest from NHL teams (named Blackhawks as one of them).

Went undrafted again despite his CAN/RUS Series and WJC performance and the previously reported interest, which is a bit strange as teams weren't too shy of drafting attacking-minded Russians this time.

He’s Armenian not Russian although idk if that played a role or not because Chicago took Altybarmakyan last year and Vancouver took Manukyan this year both also Armenian

He looked a lot better in the lead-up to the WJC and at the WJC. From the games I saw of him post-WJC and especially in the playoffs, he seemed a bit invisible.

In the early season games, he was noticeable all the time, and I can see where your Panarin comparisons come in there, but the 2nd half Polodyan I saw looked nothing like that.

Russian player of Armenian ethnicity, if we're talking about that, although not sure why it should matter here.

How has Polodyan been doing? I have always thought his game could translate to the NHL because he is tough and plays fearless. Good on the forecheck.

Signed with Anglet in France for this season after it didn't work out with Dynamo.
