In 90s there was a team in IHL - Russian Penguins. As i know, it was a russian team (CSKA Moscow?) that played some games in IHL.

In junior league GMHL (2010/2011) was a team - Shelburne Red Wings. Another Russian team in Canada.

Are there any others examples? Not only from Russia.

Touring Soviet and Czech national teams (sort of B/development teams) played some games in WHA during WHAs last two seasons. Those games were counted as official WHA games.

Also one game of the touring Finnish development team (Sisu-team) was counted as official game. The game was against Edmonton Oilers and Jari Kurri was playing in Sisu-team. So Kurris first official game in NA was actually in WHA and against Oilers.

Was this actually a Russian team? I don´t know details about this project.

There was team in BCJHL called Bellingham Blazers in late 70´s. Team had Finnish owner and he imported lot of players and even coach (for one season) from Finland. At most there were 11 players from Finland. Still not really Finnish team.

More info here, here and here .

Krylja Sovetov aka Soviet Wings played 17 games in the IHL back in 94-95 (I guess during the NHL lockout). The team included a young Alexey Morozov and Yury Khmylev who was with the Sabres at the time.

Also 95-96 and 96-97 seasons saw Amur Khabarovsk play some games in the lowly West Coast Hockey League under the Red Army name.
