A lot. Look at what the Blues spent to get Broberg who had maybe 10 good games here. A Zegras could possibly land you like a Rasmus Andersson if he didn't have the Anaheim stink on him and you sell at the right time.

If the Ducks sold on Zegras after the 22-23 season, they'd have got a fortune for him.
Zegras has always been a divisive player that many viewed as uncoachable. And even early on, those results weren't world beating. He's an average at best, one dimensional forward that made a name for himself pulling off trendy moves.

I doubt there was a time where 'a lot' was on the table if you were a team that was looking to move on from him. Never was the type of player you build around.

They just need like one more guy and they'll get back there, you'll see. lol

Risto sucks and is too expensive for it to work.
Stauffer has been going on about him for several years. The short version is:

- There are some people in the Oilers organization who really like him, think he has untapped potential.
-Seravalli has confirmed that Philly is probably willing to eat 50%, but they think they can get a first for him.

50% brings him down to $2.55, and if you get a second team he can be brought in at $1.275, so the money can work. I just don't like the player.

He's not a good enough player to spend all those assets on getting his cap hit down that much, Again, you just don't and there hasn't been talk about him this season.

I was never enthused about Fowler, but there just aren't a lot of options out there. I'm worried we'll end up with Rasmus f***ing Ristolainen.

If Philly were to embrace the rebuild and be willing to eat 50%, I don’t think that would be bad at all. Any top 4 dman who you can acquire with retention would be worth considering given we have Leon’s extension kicking in.

Risto sucks and is too expensive for it to work.

He doesn’t suck. He’s just a complimentary piece, and his game has warts. He’d still be our 4th best dman though

The mains are hilarious. Blues fans stalking Oilers fans so every time we post something they’re right on it like fleas on a dog.

Never seen a fanbase so collectively angry at another team for no logical reason. We’re not rivals, not in the same division, don’t have playoff history together.

There's no chance he's playing better hockey than Kulak.

Fowler will be a good mentor for Broberg. Broberg's upside is probably what Fowler was. Hopefully our target is still in play and we can land him soon.

Like clockwork. Doesn't matter what or who or why the move, if the Oilers weren't in on it, the team is a f***ing joke and management done f***ed up.

Every. Single. Time.

Have other GMs been active in the trade market to find solutions to their roster issues, yes or no? Has Stan Bowman done the same, yes or no?

Risto definitely has more upside than Kulak

We’re 8-2-0 in the last 10. Now isn’t the time to overpay on a big shakeup trade

Lol why would the blues do that.

I don't get it at all. You likely aren't making the playoffs this year, and you just traded a second rounder that will end up in the 40-50th overall spot for a 33 year old dman who is on the downside and overpaid (even with the retention). If the blues were a contending team, I could see the trade I suppose, but makes zero sense for where they are.
