So Nashville is last in the Entire League, man, I could really handle getting Sissons out of there at 50% (or less) on the cap to be a 4C.

To give you and idea of how bad it's going in Nashville, they're 4 points behind the Ducks, the Ducks have played 3 less games lol.
Does Nashville have any players that are 36+ because that's who we'll be targeting.

So far Bowman / Jackson seem a lot less shy about making claims off the waiver wire (Holland was frustratingly unwilling in some cases). Decent hit on Kapanen, maybe this 24 year old rangy RD could be a solid 7D, rotated in when they need more size in a game
Can't fault the activity level of Bowman. As a fan of buy low, reclamation projects I'm liking what I'm seeing. He is no Tambellini.

Our defensive system already is great, we can't be so casual with the limited trade assets we do have to say "it wouldn't hurt".

We would probably have won the Cup last year if we had a 2nd goalie that could have stepped into any one of game 1, 2, or 3 and just given us one solid game of .905+ behind the good D we did have.

I am fine with a bottom pair of Valimaki-Emberson for example. All summer you said our D would fall apart this year "because Emberson and Stetcher are no Ceci and Desharnais!" ... well it turns out you were dead wrong on that, Ceci and Desharnais both suck this year, and the D is the 3rd best in the league from the third game onwards, and losing Ceci is the best thing that ever happened to Darnell Nurse.
Let's not pretend like Nurse and Kulak aren't simply playing better, the whole this partner made Nurse play good and that one made him play bad is complete and utter bullshit, the biggest difference is vastly superior decision making on Nurse's part. Also Kulak is bringing something closer to playoff Kulak to the regular season, which is certainly not the norm.

How Nurse process and fundamentally handles forecheck pressure is night and day different than it was just last season and that has nothing to do with his partner and is entirely on his own growth and development as a player, don't give Nurse's praise to his d-partner and don't blame his own shortcomings on his previous partner(s).

He’s fine on the bottom pair even in a playoff series.
No thanks lol. Emberson and Stecher together? They will get ripped to shreds

Yes but it doesn't change the fact that we could use another top 4 defender. Cup Winners have great defences. Look at the last 5 Cup Winners

How in the world is Henrique not a 3rd liner?
The Oilers will be overloaded at forward when Kane and Arvidsson return. What do you mean not enough talent? They'll have 7 top 6 forwards when Kane returns so they'll have a guy that has played his whole career in the top 6 on the 3rd line when healthy then you have Podkolzin, Kapanen, Janmark, Henrique, Brown, Perry, Ryan, Philp.
They're loaded at forward. Granted, a lot of it hasn't clicked yet but there's a lot of talent to work with, old talent but it's there.
Henrique is on pace for 6 goals. Ryan, our 4th line C, on pace for 0. Podkolzin, our 2nd line winger, on pace for 7. Arvidsson will come along I'm sure but he's a wild card, as any time he gets going he seemingly gets injured. Again, Kane is a 33 year old power forward coming off major surgeries, he might not even be close to himself until next season. I understand we have talent, but a lot of them are past their best-before date IMO. Our team defense is vastly improved this year but offensively we went from a top 3 team to a middle of the pack team, that's how I see it. That doesn't mean we arent an elite team, but we swapped out one strength (offense) and made team defense a strength.

I’m gonna say the source that’s banned for being a fraud probably isn’t plugged in on anything.
I don't think he was banned for being a fraud he was banned cause he shit talked the HF higher ups in the past, he's not reliable, but he is worlds better than Eklund or Tracey Lane.

I still can't fathom the reason for the Josh Brown signing. Just an obscure signing and it made no sense back then. It doesn't make an inch of sense now since we decided to pick up a waiver player to put ahead of him

Henrique also has 7 points in his last 10 games and is a +7. Really strong on the dot and solid on the Pk. Exactly what you need + more lately from a 3rd liner.

When it comes to the Isles, Incarcererated Bob is usually very plugged in.
I don't see it. Brock @ 50% is 3M, plus the assets it will cost to get him. Plus we have a bunch of other wingers that I can't see the team giving up on at this point, they will see their offseason acquisitions through. Plus if we get Brock, there goes our assets/cap for a RHD.

The only way it would make sense if they think Arvie is done for the year, but we just heard he's coming back soon.

Gotta think the Oilers are looking to LTIR Arvid is how we are able to add Nelson is my 2nd guess. Drai definitely gets moved to McDavid's wing.
I hope he ends up on there. I don;t trust him health wise

He would be a great face off guy
