Stetcher has solid third pair numbers and can transition the puck. Does this mean Ceci or Kulak are going to be moved?

edit: saw no retention on Stetcher...that makes no sense

If Carrier doesn't move somewhere else I'm going to assume he was never an option, Predators are playing well, seems like a weird decision to move a good player now.
Not really. It would be very similar to the Flyers moving Walker. If they're not close on contract talks they might as well get something for him. I don't honestly believe that Nashville thinks they have a shot at the cup this year. They're probably just happy to get some playoff experience for their young guys as they retool.

I still think they're going to do more, at least they're not done trying.

They were in on Tanev and have been in on some big name FWDs. The org knows Ceci isn't good enough and that there's a hole at 2RW. They didn't acquire Henrique to play him on the wing. There's more to come IMO. Maybe I'm just being optimistic.

Stetcher I remember being pretty good.

He's good depth, I like that better than like Edmundson.

Still would like a Ceci upgrade and a winger though.
Agreed, I think Stecher was the best of the #7 Dman options. Moves the puck pretty well actually.

Yeah we can still fit some players in for sure. We've got 2.1 million in space and Stetcher will only use 250,000 of that.
Thats not how that works. We had an "effective 2.1 million in cap". Which means we can add 2.1 mill of aav.

Hopefully Ceci, but I don't think it would mean that Stetcher is in the top 6. He's injury protection for the bottom pair is my guess and honestly having Broberg-Stretcher as your 7-8 D is pretty good insurance come playoff time.

The retention is irrelevant. Whether it's 1.1m or 550K, the Oilers still have to move out money to make a more significant trade either way.
