Yeah Ceci's puck retrieval is horrendous. I really do think Nurse would look so much better with a mobile puck moving D that doesn't get them constantly hemmed in.

I wonder if they actually try Stecher with Nurse for a spell. Might be too tough of competition for Stecher but his play style could be a good fit with Nurse.

Yup, no retention, so that is likely it for trades then it would seem. Went from Carrier + Eberle to Stecher really fast, lol. Stecher seems fine for a depth #7 guy, no real complaints there. But its not exactly Carrier + Eberle to say the least.

No shot Stecher comes in for Ceci barring injury. I get that Ceci has struggled recently, but he's still a much better player than Stecher.

We still likely can fit in 6 million AAV with some retention and other finagling or offloading Ceci / Foegele. But less than ideal.

I agree that in general Ceci is better, but Stecher is much better with the puck and could let Nurse focus more on the D side than running around

Yes I was mistaken he was already signed. He did request the trade though because of our depth and VD being called up before him.

If Carrier doesn't move somewhere else I'm going to assume he was never an option, Predators are playing well, seems like a weird decision to move a good player now.

They do need a #7 Dman but, yeah, it's about what was expected. Money in money out would be needed to make any further trades and I just don't see it. Not a fan of running it back with this defense but it is what it is.

They are probably thinking they have almost no shot at a cup. Carrier could be gone for nothing. They have somebody ready to take his spot they hope.
