I was big on the Karlsson train, and thankfully I wasn't in charge for that one lol. From the Barrie interview earlier in the year, it sounds like they really were prioritizing Karlsson and then shifted to Ekholm once that fell apart (Barrie said he was told it was Edmonton or San Jose IIRC).
