I think people over exaggerate the rebuild being bad. The top picks were the right picks. The biggest mistakes we made were trading back in 2015 with our second first instead of selecting Konecny or another defenseman.

2016 drafting Korshkov instead of Debrincat.

Not parlaying one of Connor Brown or Kadri into a top 4 dman.

To me the Marleau 3 year deal was way worse than the Tavares signing.

Lastly, overpaying 3 RFA’s was the worst decision. Nylander and Marner should have been bridged.

I am saying the timing of when we got luck. Matthews and Marner are primadonna's who don't have any heart. Willy and Rielly are the only core players who show up. Marleau's signing being so early meant they got mentored by a serial loser. Kadri trade was garbage, overpaying all three of them was just pathetic. It was a bad rebuild in hindsight with how pathetic they have developed in front of our eyes when the games actually count.

I’m not going to blame Dubas or Keefe here. To win, your best players need to be your best players and lead you to success. So far, they haven’t and aren’t. Two shots combined between the four of them so far. This isn’t acceptable. If you don’t have the will to win, you don’t.

Matthews’ weak play resulted in the goalie getting hurt. He just doesn’t get it.

Conclusion is this team is crap.
We always ask is it the coach, players etc what is it?
Coach was changed , supporting player are allot better so it’s the big boys that aren’t winners

I agree with this but I sort of blame coaching as well. Maybe these guys are coach killers but ultimately you have team USA#1 Center, Team Canada #1 RW and Team Sweden #1 RW and you can form a dominant team with that. It’s messed up.
