So much went wrong with this rebuild. Wish we got the luck in 2015 instead of 2016. Should have built around Nylander (and theoretically McDavid). The Tavares signing was a colossal mistake. Just mistakes all around.

I think people over exaggerate the rebuild being bad. The top picks were the right picks. The biggest mistakes we made were trading back in 2015 with our second first instead of selecting Konecny or another defenseman.

2016 drafting Korshkov instead of Debrincat.

Not parlaying one of Connor Brown or Kadri into a top 4 dman.

To me the Marleau 3 year deal was way worse than the Tavares signing.

Lastly, overpaying 3 RFA’s was the worst decision. Nylander and Marner should have been bridged.

I genuinely feel nothing at all for this game. Even if by whatever grace, the Leafs win this series and somehow make the finals, I know they'll lose. This is how they look down 2-0 in a series. Not a serious hockey club.

Same honestly. After we stopped skating 5 mins into the first and 34/16 just haven’t shown up I knew it was trouble.
