Why do the Maple Leafs keep dressing Joe Thornton? He's been terrible.

I can't for the life me understand what he's doing in the lineup and even more puzzling is why on earth they have him out there on the power play.

I don't get it.

Leafs management/coaching has an unearned reputation for being smart and progressive.

Should have thrown that out the window once they signed Simmonds and Thornton.

As a fan of neither of these teams.....im really excited for this game.

It's going to be a repeat of Toronto-Columbus game 5. Even leafs haters wouldn't be able to enjoy this game.

Just look at the score at 9:40 pm.

I can't believe because of the Americanization of the NHL we might have to wait forever until another series.

It's such a shame Canadian teams have to waste years playing American teams. Series between Canadian cities helps the game grow so much in our country.

Americanization? The league's had more US based teams than Canadian team for almost 100 years.

Because he grew up a Leafs fan/born near Toronto etc.

Weirdly, for as much heat as Marner's taken, I think he's played very well across all three zones and generated a ton of chances. He and Nylander have been the best forwards on either team, in my view.

Nylander has played well, no question, but I don't see what you are seeing with Marner at all.

He has played scared from the very beginning. He isn't willing to pay the price to play playoff hockey and seems to be hearing footsteps all the time.

How you could think he's played better than someone like Jason Spezza is very curious to me.

Playoff Matthews or Marner still better than playoff Gilmour, or so I’ve heard on our home leaf boards.
