How does a Zadarov Trouba pairing make you feel?I’ve been advocating us trading for him for years now lol, I think he’d be a perfect fit

really crossing my fingers that Barron can be that guy. I read he is known for his defensive abilities with Cornell so...The more I think about, the more I feel that this team needs a 4th line center that you can throw out there in the last minute of a game protecting a lead. That would spell minutes for Mika, and make the team deeper.
Theodore is a significantly better defensive player than DeAngelo, locked into an outstanding contract ($5.2MM AAV for 5 more years after this one), and an excellent offensive player in his own right. And oh by the way, he's 6'2", 195 lbs.
By no means should the team be trading DeAngelo "just to trade him", but a deal centered around a guy like Theodore is precisely the sort of thing I mean when I mention "rationalizing assets" in regards to the team's roster construction, and specifically the glut on RD.
Also, he spells "Shea" correctly.![]()
The Coronavirus attendance ban is going to tank the cap and force management to buyout Staal to save $2.13M on the cap. Easier to do than buying out Henrik to save $3M.

I wouldn't have a problem giving him 4 years if the money makes sense.
Hes a good player.
With our LD prospect pipeline 4 years makes no sense at all, esp with the expansion draft (unless we're happy they take him I guess).@Blue Blooded has mentioned Nemeth a couple times. Think he could be a great compliment to an ADA type. He’ll probably be cheaper than Edmundson, too.

The beauty with Nemeth is that he is signed for one more year at $3M and Detroit (fans at least) are happy to let him go for a ~3rd. He is a perfect stopgap while our prospects mature.
See, that you can talk me into. Pair Theodore up with Trouba and there's your top pairing. Then comes Fox and Lindgren. Werenksi...Theodore.....those are names that I would view as fitting a return profile for DeAngelo; one that does not push back competing and has merit for the way the team is to be built long term.
If the Rangers sign a veteran LD to a reasonable contract, that could also help them fulfill the expansion draft requirement. I don’t know what the market will look like for Scandella or Dillion but they and Edmonton are all possibilities.
Watch the Buchnevich goal, yet the loss overall, in an uncanny way boost us to a lottery pick. That would be something

I think this is the second or maybe third instance where Lias would have been the logical call-up has he been playing decently in Hartford. It should be Lias Andersson promoted. Unreal![]()
Very good. Also, he spells "Shea" correctly.![]()
The only times I’ve noticed him is when he takes a dumb penalty or gets beat. I’m no scout but he appears to be a poor man’s Marc Staal. Which i don’t think we’re looking for. Just my two cents anyhow.Edmundson would be a great guy to have as a bottom pair LHD.
The problem is he is likely going to get the money and term worthy of a top 4 guy. They don't need an all star at that position, I'd settle for league average-ish which honestly can be found in the bargain bin if you look hard enough.
Coronavirus compliance buyouts incoming . Cap penalty free buyouts due to list revunue from league shutting down
I am a Canes season ticket holder. We don't want Edmundson.......ever.The only times I’ve noticed him is when he takes a dumb penalty or gets beat. I’m no scout but he appears to be a poor man’s Marc Staal. Which i don’t think we’re looking for. Just my two cents anyhow.
