Also, not taking Landeskog is about not signing a 29 year old player to a 7-8 year deal for big money. Also, it's possible they think he hits UFA at which point they can BID ON HIM AGAIN and still take Donskoi.

I may be doing that but then people need to stop trying to send our best player assets for nothing that seattle has and wait until they are done to actually say oh Buch for so and so.

Also, i didnt think of that but honestly to me im taking Landeskog and giving him what he wants. He is the perfect captain and mentor for Seattle has alot of hockey left and plays the game night in and night out the way you want. From what they have picked so far they have NO cap hits that hurt them. Bring in Tera and Landeskog to be players around Beniers.

Not sure how Seattle takes Geekie over Bean or Nino...without a side deal. Maybe we do want to trade with Ron Francis, seems like he's made some big mistakes.

I think they have an idea of who they could add still. It's clear they have some depth guys right now and a really good defense (at least on paper).

seattle literally just told the blues "give us an asset to take Tarasenko" and they just had time to make a pitch to lando so he knows what they will offer him. for all we know there is a handshake agreement on a contract that allows them to still add donsko via ED who is a very valuable player AND get lando as a ufa...

Maybe SEA spoke with Landeskog and he had no interest in going to Seattle, or maybe the "we are miles apart on a contract" was a smoke screen so they can leave him unprotected and he resigns in COL in the next few days...
