Any deal with Nashville I’d ask for Trenin to be part of the package
he wouldn’t be the headliner but he’s cheap depth

I had STL as a suitor for Buch to replace Tarasenko (unless they got Landeskog) just don’t know what they have outside of ROR (not being traded), Kyrou or maybe Thomas.
Robert Thomas? The Blues don't have much to trade.
Elliotte Friedman mentioned St. Louis and Nashville are very interested in Buchnevich. There are other teams too.
The Blues have a first rounder at #17. Really #16
what if Dunn or Barbashev doesn’t go to Seattle?
1 plus Thomas as a package for Buch and a spare part like Hajek ?
Klim Kostin?Love Kyrou, but would STL really move him?
STL also has a very strong asset in that Russian forward they drafted 1-2 years ago. His name escapes me now. But not sure if he fits into our plans. He was mentioned in relation to Puljujarvi a while back too.
Buchnevich to the Blues for Robert Thomas, #17th overall(#16)and Zach Sanford.
Thomas was compared to Bo Horvat in his draft year. They both played for the London Knights. Drury can't get Horvat for Buchnevich. Thomas?
Thomas is a group II with no arb rights. His contracts works for the Rangers cap situation. The Rangers can't pay everyone $10M per year.

Who says Tarasenko will have arms to begin with? Can't wait to see the letter the Rangers put out after Wilson rips Tarashenko's arm off and uses it to knock Eichel's head off.
Too much imagery?

This seems like a heck of a lot.Buchnevich to the Blues for Robert Thomas, #17th overall(#16)and Zach Sanford.
Nothing the Blues got really wows me for Buch unless they wanna cough up an unprotected first either next year or 2023.
that seems like a lot for Buch. I'd be thrilled though.Buchnevich to the Blues for Robert Thomas, #17th overall(#16)and Zach Sanford.

The #8 really doesn't do much for us at this point.LA for Buch. The Mayor had mentioned that LA would be interested but didn't believe he'd be available. Something around #8 as the main piece.
Klim Kostin is probably one of the only legit tough guys with actual upside in anyone's prospect system at this pointKlim Kostin?
I would pull the trigger on that. Don't think the Blues would add their first...maybe their second? This is pretty decent. 2 nhl players who will be cheap for a decent while and add different elements.

What's worrying to me is if Buchnevich is getting heavily rumored with some west coast team, like LAK or STL, then it gives me the vibe that Drury is gonna move Strome+Kakko in the Eichel deal. And I really hope Kakko doesn't get moved, there has to be a way we can get Jack without giving up Kakko
This is how diluted the Sabers board is right now, pure lunacy. I feel bad for them.
"I’m bored here’s an idea. NYR adds more to us but it’s an interesting premiss.
Buffalo: Rossi, Kakko, 15th Overall (NYR)
NYR: Eichel
Minnesota: Zibanejad"
