Having guys like Coleman and Goodrow would do wonders for Barron, Berard, and Cuylle over the next few years. You need players like that to show the kids the way to eventually become those player types. This way you have cheaper replenishments within your system when you are ready to move on from Goodrow and Coleman near the end of their contracts.

This is a fascinating story. I would love to be a bug on the wall to hear the offers Seattle is getting to make this move. If they are willing to retain some money they should be able to get a first and quality player at a minimum.
