Chris Drury singlehandedly ruined my weekend.

Sometimes it's good that your GM isn't pulling off stupid shit like they usually are when there are deadlines...

Georgiev to Arizona after the trade freeeze lifts before the draft? Not impossible. At all

Just for the record, a Georgiev trade makes 10x more sense AFTER the expansion draft than before it, right? Any team trading for him today would have to protect him. We can protect him and then deal him.

I am seeing the numbers but what I see on the ice isn’t impressive. I know I’m probably wrong. But…I’m just not there with Filip. I see this next season as big. I hope Gallant gives him more icetime. But also wonder if maybe he gets traded. He’s a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma. To me.

I saw improvement on the ice this year, particularly through the final 20-25 games. He would still dangle, but he started mixing it up and REALLY started using his wingers more often and more effectively. Instead of highlight reel goals (or almost goals), he was getting more highlight reel passes. I'm not sure how much of that was him having the same pair of wingers for a stretch of a few weeks (Kakko/Laf--throughout his 3 years, he's gotten the hockey equivalent of "whatever's left" as his linemates, and rarely with any consistency). I also don't think that he needs a HUGE bump in ice time next season--he's still 21/22 after all. The key is that that time is regular. It's hard to get into any kind of a groove when you play two shifts a period, or play 14 minutes one night and 8 minutes the next. I want to see him given a defined role with defined line-mates and defined minutes. That should not only do wonders for his development, but also give us a better idea as the whether he's ready for more than that.

I laid it out a few pages ago, look at his points and how the drop in points relate to his drop in PP time and TOI in general. His possession numbers are solid and he can play RW or C. He’d be a nice stop gap on a 3 year deal if the Rangers were given something of value. He’s probably a 50 point player when given decent playing time and he’s tenacious on the puck.

I’m not trading anything I’d value for him but if TB wants to pay for the Rangers to take him…

Doesnt make sense. He is not that good, Just bc he has one less year on his contract does not mean we should be trying to acquire him, and help tampa it would take a 1st for me to even consider taking him and their first is essentially a 2nd rounder. Plus that 5+ million dollars is going to severly screw us in being able to acquire actually talented players that fit our core. In this scenario youre kicking the can down the road even further out. That money should go to chytl or our other core peices. He has negative value for us more than he would help us. Cap space is valuable, and ty johnson kills that for us
