Anyone watch Will Cuylle last season with Hartford? How close is he? Would be interesting if we added him, Berard and Barron as our adds this year.

I don't think Cuylle should go to the NHL next year. He was decent in the A. And it's possible he could take a leap forward between seasons. But he's still a bit raw. And it's likely smarter to have him develop a complete game and more offensive confidence at lower levels. I think he may have to go back to juniors this season or NHL - assuming there's a juniors season.

Fox still should receive more than Heiskanen though.

Right he definitely should get more than Heiskanen. The PPG difference won't give Fox significantly more though. If even Fox wants a longer term deal, likely 8x$9MM or even $10MM

He's arguably worth it but that's a lot imo given all the circumstances

With their cap tightening and the emergence of Hintz, maybe they would trade Faksa.

Heiskanen turns 22 tomorrow. He will be 29 at the end of this contract. Texas has no state income tax. That $8.45M AAV in Texas versus New York is nearly $725,000 more. Fox is the much better player. Fox is a $10M-$11M player for the same term.
