I’m glad we all (mostly) agree that Strome is a good player, just not the fir the team needs.
Neighbors changed the wi-fi password again, hey?what do you think I pay my internet bill for?
Until his mental game catches up to his physical, he’s gonna be a similar player. If that part( vision & hockey sense) increases, then he will be a 2c.
My NHL21 top 6 is:
Panarin - Mika - Kakko
Laf - Larkin - Buch
…just saying
And what's interesting about that is strome and kreider played some of their best individual hockey last year while they were playing on a line together.I think other teams fans undervalue Strome because if you put him in trade offers people would respond is Panarin coming with him
Can we go back to talking about Larkin?
Garland reportedly being shopped. Ugh, what a player. Wish he was a center.
I’m seriously intrigued by Tyler Johnson. His possession numbers have been solid for a long while too and with his skating, he’s been an effective PKer in the past. I think he’s probably more suited to that RW/center in a pinch role but for 3 more years at $5m, if TB either retains or offers some sweetener to take him, and I’m Drury, I don’t hang up immediately.
The idea of Blackwell for Johnson + as a basis for a deal makes some sense from a cap perspective for TB. Similar playing styles and they would save $4m+

I insisted all year that last season was (or should have been) an evaluative season. Sure every team and every coach is going to try to win as many games as possible, but with the playoffs a real long shot from day one, there really should have been a more evaluative approach to player deployment. And what's interesting about that is strome and kreider played some of their best individual hockey last year while they were playing on a line together.
I never understood why Quinn resisted going back to that at times to try to lengthen the lineup and try to expand roles for other guys, and as much as people incorrectly think I'm hating on chytil today this would've been a great way to expose him to more challenging matchups and see if he could be the center for panarin long term.
#Isles have traded Nick Leddy to DET for Richard Panik and a 2021 2nd.
Wings retain 50% on Panik
Garland is a good (smaller) player with a lot of bite but he is constantly getting beat up and there's real fear he will wear down (e.g. Callahan) He's also two years away from UFA and expecting a big contract. The Coyotes are trying to get ahead of having to give him a large high risk contract.Garland reportedly being shopped. Ugh, what a player. Wish he was a center.
