Tyler Bertuzzi admittedly is exactly the type that Toronto needs
he's exactly what we need.

am I the only one that doesn't want Kane?..... again.

We keep talking about the horrible balance on the team but we continue to skew it in the imbalanced direction. Makes no sense. I'm fine with Wheeler. He at least has some size.

Ive been one of CKs biggest supporters for years. Before his last 2 years. If CKs 40 goals would bring a lot back you listen to offers. CK is one of the fastest skaters in the NHL but stopped using that speed years ago. I have no idea why. Its one of his biggest assets just sitting on a shelf. A large percentage of CKs goals are scored within 5 feet of the net. Nothing wrong with that but they aren't scored based on his speed. Id like to see CK skate harder and throw his body with a purpose again. Im a big CK fan. Im not dumping him. Im saying if we got a very good offer for Bread or CK I would listen based on age and salary.

Also it's not that Kreider is "too old," to be good at 32; it's that it's an inevitable fact that his remaining time as a quality player is running short. If you could quantify value as some sort of equation of height of production multiplied by a time factor, you are way more likely at this point to get MORE value by trading the 32 year old for a package of high end assets, such as, a high end prospect and a first round pick, simply because an 18 and a 20 year old, even if never as good as 32 year old Kreider, are likely to give it to you for so much longer than whatever years Kreider has left as a top 6 player.

It's also possible that Kreider bucks all conventional trends and remains a first line caliber player till he's 40. And then I'd lose on that transaction, perhaps, unless the piece you get back for him is like, Jason Robertson (oops, we apparently had that chance).

But play the odds as an organizational philosophy by moving your 32 year olds for lucrative packages, if available, and by and large you will win the value exchanges and be better off.

I'd have to guess they're trading Nylander for a Defenseman.

Nylander is the only guy that looks good when I watch them in the Playoffs.
Out of their Core 4, Nylander to me seems least untouchable

Gorton just can’t say no.

CURSE OF LIAS

ONCE DRAFTED, FOREVER BONDED

From Gorton's view, can understand why he wants to try again. Montreal has less cap space than us, literally going into account overdraft protection territory, and Lias needs to eat, put food on the table. Not gonna get into it about Lias' issues, but Gorton is giving him a third and perhaps final NHL chance, with all his baggage.

It’s humorous that everyone hates Drury because of the Buch Trade (I guess?), even though Gorton literally put us in cap he’ll during a rebuild and is now flying another 06 franchise into a mountain. But narratives die hard
Drury was Gorton's contract man as the AGM though, no?

If Gurianov has 4-5 teams interested, even if the Rangers are 1 of those teams they can't offer more than $1M, so they'd likely lose out. Unless ofcourse he really wants to come to the Rangers.
