My mistake even worse.Wait they lose a buyout slot? I thought they lose a retained salary slot?
He’s a rhd. We’re ok there. And he’s bad. Not staal bad but close. How much does OEL cost?
I haven't watched him play in years
OEL is a left handed, plays LD.He’s a rhd. We’re ok there. And he’s bad. Not staal bad but close.
but he is still really bad right nowOEL is a left handed, plays LD.
He's bad playing 20 minutes a night and getting paid 8+ mil. Playing 16 minutes and making 1-2 mil, he might not be so bad.but he is still really bad right now
But he is washedOEL is a left handed, plays LD.
It’s a shame the Rangers and Devils can’t work out a trade and don’t have cap space. He’s be a good sneaky player.
But he is washed
Everyone on this board just dumpster dives every time a player is availableI’ll never understand the boards obsession with bringing in other teams problems when we can’t figure out our own. Sharangovich was a healthy scratch in the playoffs and if the “genius” Devils don’t want him, why should we?

Wheeler + Kane means it’s back to the kids as a third line all over again.OEL is not good. What are we doing here.
I like the Blake Wheeler idea if he is bought out and is affordable.
Still think we end up with Kane and LTIR him as one of the 2 RW slots needed to be filled
Why? Why couldnt Wheeler be on the 3rd line with Kreider-Troch?Wheeler + Kane means it’s back to the kids as a third line all over again.

what you're describing is some perfect utopia that will never take place in real life IMO.
The proper way to do things is the way we did it. We established a vet core and infused youth. That vet core failed and we've underperformed. Eventually that infused youth becomes the Vet group and you need to keeping rotating in youth. G
Adding more youth does not fix our issue.
Having an entire team of youth does not fix our issue.
The object is winning. Cap does not allow for you to have an abundance of young performing talent.... that's the point of the cap. We need to fix the coaching issue or replace some of the 'core vets'. Re-asses next offseason. We also need to stop offloading 1sts for rentals. I have no problem with using our 1st rounders if we're getting some players with term and/or retention.
