Roster Building Thread VI (2022-23): Offseason edition

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Tom Wilson loved seeing Panarin trying to stick up for a teammate....you see where that got us.

Its a bullshit narrative that they will skate away like they dont care if there is something going on.

Cant argue that from the outside, doesnt seem like Panarin should wear a letter. We have no idea of the leadership he may provide off the ice and in other areas though. The whole 4 guys wearing the "A" is stupid anyway.

Trouba C, Kreider & Lindgren A’s. No more charity A’s for every veteran player. Just more evidence of a team looking around for someone to step up when the going gets tough, and no one actually doing it.

Panarin has fake leadership. Pretending to not speak English and never take accountability never speaks English in interviews but Igor has no issues with this

I would drive LaF to JFK if Arizona offered us Cooley straight.

No disrespect to LaF, but the ELC alone is a no brainer.

Wilson will probably be a really nice deadline piece for someone and will bring in a huge haul for the Caps. UFA next year, doubt he signs with the rebuilding Caps.
 
Tbh i think Wilson knows he's basically guaranteed the C in Washington if he stays (not the first time a scumbag has worn it there, looking at you Dale Hunter). They're probably heading towards a rebuild, but who knows

The leverage is that they can take the best offer from any other NHL team who thinks Cooley would sign with them.
 
Wilson for Trocheck & Lafreniere. Would be the most rangers move ever but kind of awesome lol. Good narratives for the league to have one of those throwback 90s trades on ESPN/TNT. Aggressive moves have worked for Florida and Vegas
