Kid Line might have a monster playoffs again. They're looking better lately and starting to produce. Let's chill on shipping any of them out.
Starting to produce? I'm rooting for them to have an impact, but they've been awful.

Laf no points in his last 8.
Kakko 3 points in his last 12
Chytil 2 points in the last 4 after having no points in his previous 12

They haven't been awful, they just haven't scored enough. Chytil did finally get his 20th and Kakko scored also 2 games ago. I could also see their game getting better and hopefully they will start scoring more consistently. I think they are going to be a problem for teams in the playoffs.

Their last three games they've had a lot of good looks.

They had a rough 12-15 game stretch.

Let's no be impatient "Nu Yawkaz" and run them out of town tomorrow. A few more weeks of the season before the real stuff. We are the smart fans.

Yup, same with Igor.

Go into the tournament hot.

It's entirely possible the Rangers aren't emptying the tank now and saving that extra gear for the playoffs.

Remember back in October? Work smarter, not harder this season.

Who's running them out of town? I just said I was rooting for them, but the numbers don't lie. Yes they've had some better shifts as of late, but these kids need to start scoring. We didn't draft them 1 & 2 to "come oh so close". We can't go far in the playoffs without them showing up in the boxscore.

Yup. I said it weeks ago when they were struggling. I had no doubt they will be playing well heading down the stretch and when the games really matter. Just have to get Lindgren healthy.

The 4th line has actually been much better.

Opportunity and confidence are issues with the kids. People say look at Hughes and Mercer. The Rangers players are disappointments. No. The Rangers have so many layers blocking the young forwards. It's ridiculous. I don’t see this situation changing next season. Panarin. Kreider. Zibanejad. Trocheck. Drury added two high-profile rentals. More layers. Kakko is off PP2. Gallant insists on having Kakko play on the kid line. The Devils guys aren't better players than the Rangers. Matt Boldy is not a better player than Kakko or Lafreniere. I love Boldy. Great player. The opportunity is there for him in Minnesota. Boldy has taken his game to a higher level since Kaprizov got injured.

Looks like they all have a good chance of having 40+ points and each either over or close to 20 goals while averaging 15 minutes or less/almost no PP time is pretty good.

I do agree I don't see the situation changing for Laff and Chytil next season. Kakko has the best opportunity to play top 6 minutes next season depending on what the team does in the offseason.

That could be it for the people just stat watching, but whenever I do catch bits of devils games they are skating like Chytil did last night. People are looking for the kids to be noticeable and generate chances more consistently points will follow.

The kid line isn't going to be an every game line. That's why having a diverse dangerous top 9 is so effective.

And GG has shown that in games where the kid line is rolling, they get more shifts relative to the top 6 than normal.

That's literally all I ask for in a cup run.

Its incredibly obvious that Krieder should not be with Zibs, while Kane and Panarin are dog shit together.

The PP units also should have kane and panarin on different units.

Its gross how much they look just for each other, never shoot the puck, and play no defense. Trochek should not be the only 1 going on that line.

The latter has been the best line in the NHL in the small sample it's been together.

Leave it alone, Gerard.
he cant help himself.

now can we put Mika in the Bumper and move back to a 1-3-1.

They have yet to try Mika at bumper after a practice.

They gave up after we acquired Kane and didn't have any practice time. It's foolish IMO.

He just cant help himself. Gallant has to try every wrong combo before realizing the correct ones. Meanwhile we have been clamoring for the right ones all year.

I just think its way to many chefs in one kitchen. You dont need 1 unit of passers and 1 unit of shooters. Split it evenly, have shooters and passers on each unit, Have two deadly pp units. But what do i know. But yes maybe mika in the bumper would work but that takes away his shot.

I would argue that it never went that well. The Blackhawks were terrible in the playoffs when they were together.

Yeah I agree never liked it. Kane and Panarin both want to pass and we’ve seen it on the PP. I like Trocheck and Kreider with him. His production has been very good so really not too concerned just need to get him to gel with a line.
