I shouldn't have said "he'll be moved" more like other teams have the notion that he's in play.
Which, again, may be nothing. Everyone's in play for a price.

And we have 79-23 togetherYou can't build a successful team without selling high on a few players and/or getting lucky in the draft.
Lindgren and Kreider are both examples where their value around the league is probably at all time highs. I would be disappointed if either/both were traded. But I'd also completely understand it and if we actually are able to extract their perceived values it may be beneficial long term.
Think you may be misreading, I read that as people reaching out to Friedman that they think he’ll be moved/in playThere seems to be a little bit of smoke with Kakko.
First we heard a rumor that it was disciplinary. Now apparently there's people reaching out to him that he'll be moved.
It may end up being nothing. Kravtsov came back after a whole lot of something. That being said, it seems to me like something happened here that wasn't just "I don't think he's playing very well."
Oh, got it.From the thing you posted.

If that's the case, then yeah, probably nothing.Think you may be misreading, I read that as people reaching out to Friedman that they think he’ll be moved/in play
I think they're telling Laf today to expect to start next season on RW.The team has no RW depth, I can’t imagine Kakko is legitimately on the market unless he’s a son of satan behind the scenes and the front office hates him.
Who’s your top RW if you move him? Kravstov, who’s actually a problem child?
And then who takes the 2nd pairing LD?And we have 79-23 together
Doesn't every team do that?Oh, got it.
Right. It was more so that teams will be interested in him and calling NYR to see what the deal is.
Now, is that a legit market? Or is it the kind of "can we get this dude on the cheap" market like they saw for VK. We'll see. But there is smoke, a lot of smoke.
And then who takes the 2nd pairing LD?
Of course, every team does their due diligence on players who may be available.Doesn't every team do that?
Lundkvist seems like the best piece to bring a center in for a defenseman. I liked your idea of him for Mavrik Bourque out of Dallas. The two teams make good trading partners. It's not about prospect hugging. The Rangers have some big tickets on their books. These players have no movement clauses. The Rangers have an issue with salary cap for the next two seasons or at least until The NHL players pay off their debe to the league. The Rangers still need their young players to grow. There is only so much Drury can do with a lack of cap space. Other teams have the same issues with the cap. Are all of these players ending up on Arizona and Buffalo?
Which defenseman are you trading for a center to hedge against Chytil being injured?
Is Kakko playing in Finland next season? The Rangers don't have to honor a trade request and which team is giving Kakko an offer sheet after his first three NHL seasons?

That is an area of need..the guy from arizona? Ryan and Brandon.....balance sizeAnd then who takes the 2nd pairing LD?
Except that Lindgren plays his best while playing with Fox. And in some ways Fox plays his best when out with Lindgren. I've seen Miller-Fox out there at the same time. They were fine together. Wasn't like they were outstanding. I don't get why we have to fix something that isn't broken?Lindgren
There's a reason Dan Girardi, who skated like his skates were made of lead, very rarely got beaten up ice for odd man rushes. Good positioning and anticipation can help even the slowest skate not get beat the way Trouba did there. Trouba's problem is always his positioning, he's not the fastest skater but he's a way faster skater than a bunch of other players in the league who don't get beat with the frequency that he does.Agreed, a lot of it could be fixed with proper positioning. I mean every time I watch the Stamkos goal, I shake my head. Trouba did everything wrong there.
Does this organization believe in Zac Jones? Trouba has proven to be a great caddy for young defensemen. Did it for Morrissey with the Jets. Miller here. And then who takes the 2nd pairing LD?
I'd like to see Jones do a full season on the 3rd pair before moving him into a top 4 role.Does this organization believe in Zac Jones? Trouba has proven to be a great caddy for young defensemen. Did it for Morrissey with the Jets. Miller here.
If you move Miller up to play with Fox, maybe he can play with Jones.
Jones puck moving ability is something sorely lacking. We need more of that type of skillset.
Strome is such a tough call for a GM. He's great in the room, and is very good on the PP in his role. Problem is, he really belongs as our 3C. In order to keep him, you'd basically have to ask him to take a pay cut to the $4M range. You can't pay him the 2C money that he wants, because you're not winning anything with him as your 2C.
Strome gets a lot of hate around here, but I'll be sad to see him go. For all his warts, he's been a good teammate, and just an all-around good guy.
Sign Copp and Motte, promote Jones, make the kid line the 2nd line, destroy opponents next season.
