This is a team sport, but we’re also talking about the careers of individual players. You’re saying a player should put a team they want to be on but aren’t over his self interest? I don’t know about that.

besides- the team didn’t vote him off. The GM couldn’t get over himself to do the right thing for the team.

So who does Kravstov help by stomping his feet? Did he "win"? He's not playing, he's not expediting a trade, he's not developing his game to an actual NHL level. He made the worst possible choice as an individual thinking about themselves and their professional wellbeing. Mostly everyone hates their bosses and some have been verbally reprimanded in less-than-savory ways in front of co-workers. Do you then walk in to work, say you're above the workload you're given, and threaten to leave? Or do you realize that's probably not the smartest thing to do and quietly start looking for other jobs?

And set a shitty precedent for every current and future prospect in the organization? No. Really.

That doesn’t set a precedent unless you allow it to be. When someone else that you don’t need as much pulls a similar stunt you can say no. This mindset is so outdated and stupid.

Sometimes it’s ok to massage the ego of a petulant and selfish player.

No. Nobody won. But I hold the GM responsible. It’s literally his job to make sure things like this don’t happen.

Not sure about that, to paraphrase “NYR fans have forgotten what organic scoring forwards look like” is probably one of the silliest things I’ve read on these boards.

Well then they need to stop arguing ridiculous things like we have enough talent at forward already. If they think we have enough it’s because two decades of having nothing but mercenaries has ruined their perspective of what enough good forwards really looks like.

Is Luke kunin a guy that maybe we should consider in Nashville? He's shown flashes that he can be a good player in this league but he just doesn't seem to be getting his footing in Nashville. I don't know what other people's thoughts are on him?

Tell me you didn't play sports without saying you didn't play sports...

I’d like to. Maybe I can start with very generic stuff about _____ player.
You're always worried about asset management, you know what GM did a great job with asset management: Tim Murray. This entire board and website was in awe of what a great job he did with asset management and what a great job he did turning players he had into multiple prospects and picks and everything else, how he rebuilt the sabers and blah blah blah. You know what ended up happening, the guy doesn't have a job and it's because he put asset management ahead of character of character and stability in organization imploded on itself. It's amazing how people fail to recognize and remember those kind of things...

If you’re trying to compare Kravtsov, Andersson, DeAngelo and Buchnevich to Eichel, let me point out one little difference- all those players not named Eichel happen to have a neck!

Theodore is absolutely a great piece but Vegas is going to give up their number 1 dman? They might as well be punting this season.

feels like a really tough fit to make this work for both sides

Still think it would be insanity for Vegas to move Theodore, but he’d slot right next to Dahlin on the right side. He played a ton of RD in Vegas with Martinez and Schmidt and is usually better there.

Theodore would carry their defensive corps until Dahlin and Power are up to speed

I think Vegas signing whitecloud for a long term deal, may have been big sign he could be moved.

I think you quoted the wrong person. I have no idea what that post has to do with what I wrote
