Laurie Pajuniemi is going be a player for the NYRs

All the kid does is score goals.
I really hope so. He’s got 2 qualities that are very hard to come by. The puck explodes off his stick and no matter where he is on the ice, the puck seems to find him. Wish that would happen for LaF kakko more.
I hope Laurie can add some weight and be harder to knock off the puck.
If he can do that, we might have a good scoring winger on our hands

I've said it from the beginning, Jack Hughes is going to be a nightmare to play against. He's one of the few that makes you nervous when he's on the ice.
There was a fair contingent of us that knew this kid is going to be a problem for a long time once he gets stronger/ more mature. You could see the flashes of it last year.
What’s most scary is that he still looks about 15 and won’t need to know what a Mach 3 razor is for about 5 years.
Kakko is going to be a player too so I’m not that bummed. He looks a lot better then last year as well.
But no doubt, woulda loved big sack Jack on Broadway if we won the lotto

It's nothing to be bummed over. It was never a choice for us.

I don't see why any of those teams would trade a young top six center for those two pieces. We want them to do that, but why would they do that...
Detroit profits off of Larkin
Los Angeles has Kopitar, Vilardi and Danault already. They need defense. They have Byfield, Kupari and Turcotte in the farm.
Buffalo is the dreaded Eichel option
Calgary with Lindholm maybe?

young center not necessarily a prospect.

Who would trade a young top 6 center for that?
We can easily add in another F or D too. Plenty of prospects to dish out.

Nils and Jones have great potential. If we're dealing with LAK for instance, they're in the same boat. They don't have room for 7 Centers, they don't exactly have leverage either.

We all know the targets, but if those were options they would have happened before VK asks for a trade. It's not like he becomes more valuable in trade talks after he asks to be traded...

They can shift their centers to wing very easily. Much easier than fairy tales of shifting wingers to center in the NHL.

The point is that we all know the targets, but if nyr wasn't able to find the trade match before it's not like VK becomes more valuable or more desirable to other teams now that he asked for a trade.

If turcotte asked for a trade nyr fans would be offering Brandon prust's jock and hajek for him citing decreased value bc he asked for a trade...

I want to temper expectations on the return for Kravtsov. Generally speaking headcases have greatly reduced value.
Kravtsov is worth a 2nd at this point. He's a throw in for a young top 6 center.

If the plan is to get a prospect or picks for Kravtsov then what about Grant on waivers ?
Makes 1.5 next year though

look at Drouin/tampa situation.. that was much worse and he was traded for sergachev.. kings I think would be a great option.. they will have spots on the wings open and d..

Drouin for Sergachev was a horrible trade at the time though and everyone knew it except Montreal. Montreal just cant help themselves when it comes to adding players with French names and trading away their stud D prospects.
