Vintage me post coming up:

Kravy didn’t work out this summer (or we didn’t love his training regime). He is childish.

What is Panarin’s excuse?

When Gallant stressed so much that everyone had shown up in phenomenal shape for camp, I knew he was covering for a player or two and that it was a move to show that the public trashing of players to make the coach look good was a thing of the past.

Panarin is so gassed after long shifts and late in games. Torts said that Panarin was by far the best player — when tired — he ever coached. But fresh Panarin is still a lot better than gassed Panarin.

I can't take anymore Gauthier, the guy needs to become something, anything, a scorer, a shut down specialist, pp specialist, pk specialist, hitter, anything, just gimme one thing. Cutting wide and then driving the net only to either lose the puck or plant one into the pads isn't doing it for me. I dont know how in the world he's playing and Kravtsov and Barron aren't, or Pajuniemi for that matter, atleast he has a canon.

Gauthier exhibits Marcel Hossa level engagement on the ice.

Trouba, Panarin, Strome, Kreider, Zibanejad are all betas. Nice guys that'd apologize to you when you bump into them and spill their coffee. Can't win with that. No wonder why Gallant couldn't find a Captain. Then we have a nice guy like Gallant as well. Vigneault might have been a jerk and Torts a hot head but they had guts. We have a bunch of stars that forced their way to NY and want the good life and the big contracts and no one to be a winner on the ice regardless of the goal scoring or point production. We need Laf and Kakko to take over the leadership on this team. They have some attitude and cockiness. They've already shown it. Embarrassing we still threw Panarin-Strome and Kreider-Zibanejad out there for OT. The time to win is when Laf and Kakko take over leadership of this team and Gallant needs to step aside and let them do that

.
what a ridiculous post lol

To be fair, Panarin is taking like 1:30 shifts.

Panarin has been setting up A LOT of people. He needs to be more aggressive and set himself up, it's always been an issue though.

Not worried - Panarin has as good of a track record as just about any player in the league. It's the other guys I'm worried about. Zib honestly is looking like a mirror image of himself early last season. I understand being rusty, but he's making some seriously lazy ass plays that just can't be excused by the aforementioned.

Also, while Tob's post was a bit hyperbolic, I can't really disagree with him except for maybe Trouba being in that list. To make it worse Quinn decimated any little bit of swagger the young kids did have. I think Goodrow, Blaise and Reeves will help a bit in that respect, but damn did we have to overpay for it.

I've said it from the beginning, Jack Hughes is going to be a nightmare to play against. He's one of the few that makes you nervous when he's on the ice.

I'd say most 1st overall picks end up being nightmares to play against, so we're just going to have to deal with it. Let's just be happy that the dude has had a pretty slow start to his career

I'd try Panarin with Zibanejad tonight. See if that gets them both going. And I don't break up Hunt-Rooney-Reaves. Leave them be.

There's really no reason to play McKegg. Goodrow can slot to 3c for a game.

Panarin - Zib - Kreider
Lafreniere - Chytil - Kakko
Blais - Goodrow - Gauthier
Hunt - Rooney - Reaves

Hello darkness my old friend......

We're not going to win many games when Panarin and Zibs are being blanked. Panarin is relying on players to finish. Zibs has just been MIA. Kakko can't buy a goal. Strome has buchitis. Laf is Laf.

I'd like to see Kakko on the right wall tonight, that one timer he let go the other night would set up nightmares for teams with zib on one side and him on the other, like Kucherov and Stamkos

Kakko is gonna be a weapon in the near future. As much as I think the chemistry would eventually come if he sticks with Panarin, I think you need to set him up with our best Center and give him every opportunity to elevate his game to the highest level.

There also needs to be clear communication given Kakko's age and experience and it seems like Panarin is kinda just a gunslinger out there. There needs to be set plays that utilize Kakko's puck control and cycle ability and Mika could be a solid trigger man for him with enough nurtured chemistry.

It's not as much about Panarin as it is about Strome IMO. If we would have a proper, defensively mindend #2C, Kakko could do more. Now he has to be the first one to win the puck battles, but also the first one back because Panarin and Strome sure as hell aren't interested.

A few more loses and I can see something like this happening. Or Drury goes to Dolan and says he knows where a savior is in Buffalo --we just have to wait a few short months.

Not my words Drury's.
I was dominating Buffalo in NHL 22 last night, they didn’t have 1 shot on goal unti midway through the 2nd period; and then Eichel scored 3 consecutive breakaway goals on me so I think we should get him

Well I slept on it last night and McKegg still sucks. I can't understand how or why the Rangers call this guy up.

Barron played well in pre-season--Nope.

Playing 7 D--Like I said yesterday--Nope. Would rather see Tonordi and Libor before McKegg.

Kravs--were sorry lets make up--Nope.

Little engine that could Little man P--number 49 in your play books--Nope.

Hell I would rather see Drury put back on the uniform before McKegg--Nope.

Chist sign Jovo or Tob it might help with their early stages of depression--well not really.

I wake from my nightmare of having to see McKegg play tonight in our house of horrors.

Few questions--was it late in your NHL 22 season ? No neck injury for Eichel and he made up with Buffalo ?

Now there no chance of him coming to the Rangers because he still playing on Buffalo in NHL 22.

Just busting....
