I don't get why people feel the need to trash someone like Kravtsov when he's sent down. No one says anything until they hear that and then suddenly it's knives out for some reason.
Guy played well, but his injury didn't do him any favors because that means he got like 2 games. But sending him down doesn't really sit well with me yet because I'm still feeling skeptical of that lineup and the Rangers trying to go "heavy"
At least Blais has skill so I don't feel that annoyed about him playing on the third line but like, Tinordi? eh

Not really in favor of this roster decision but we'll see how it plays out.

It's nice that the team now has the roster flexibility to change the their based on that night's opponent. Kravtsov & Nils will definitely get opportunities this season, but against the more physical teams (NYI/WAS/BOS) i expect this to be the lineup.

Kravtsov did play well, but he also got outplayed by two players who are older than him that he was competing with in Gauthier and Blais. Especially Blais. At 21 years old, there's nothing wrong with that at all. If he lights up Hartford, he'll be back sooner rather than later.

Oh well. Not something we should have to worry about.
I would, it would be another strike in a long list of forwards that this franchise has a history of development issues with. It’s almost as if, we are one of the worse developmental teams in the league? Huh. But you’re right, not an issue!

Gauthier has drawn multiple penalties by his rushes..has pushed defenses back with his speed.

he’s been much better than kravtsov.
But hasn’t Gauthier been doing that all along? I always thought the question was whether he could add another dimension to his game to either be a more offensive threat or use his size to take on more of a grinder role. Still seems to me like he’s in that in-between space, but maybe if he has some line mates that can take advantage of the chaos he can create he’ll stick in the lineup doing what he does best.

If the team wants to wait it out instead of exposing a player to waivers, then I have no issue with it.

A player moaning about being demoted is what it is. He's under contract. If he wants to breach that and do whatever, then whatever.

Context is required. The kid has been jerked around since he was drafted. Blah blah heart rate blah blah. Even when he was playing very well last year Quinn was giving him the jerk around. The kid missed his sister’s wedding last year for training. My point is, how many slights can you expect them to go through before giving up? I mean, it’s like people on this forum want another Lias Andersson situation. This franchise can ill afford another failed development of a top 10 pick. Very disturbing.

Giving up? If he wants to pack his bags to the KHL then that's his loss.

I don't feel he's being "jerked around"

If he's still in the minors come November/December then I'll have an issue with it.

Already been said a few times but I really think this is a paper move to avoid waivers for Hunt, Gauthier, Tinordi, and Hajek, with a strong emphasis on Hajek. There’s not much of a trade market for fringe players at the moment, my hunch is they’d like to add a player or two to Hartford to protect the youngins now that Geertsons out of the picture.

Like I was saying the other day.
Are we forgetting the cost of acquiring Hajek?
He would get claimed in a second if put on waivers and you can't let him go for nothing.

VK got injured otherwise they treated him like he was a lock to make the team.

He'll be back in the lineup once things get sorted out.

As for Gaut, he's a dime a dozen player.

? "better be"? or what?

but of course it certainly is, Krav made the team,

no one should get their tighty-whities in a knot because team made some Cap/roster-logistics moves

its an 82 game season and this week is just a very small bit
I agree...they don't want to lose any depth guys via waivers at this stage . It won't hurt Kravs ...will he even go down or just wait until the call up announce comes through....either way it's not a big deal . It's asset management . Let's play Caps physical and then proceed onward .

Literally nothing you've mentioned has been a slight against an adult.
