Speculation: Roster Building Thread - Part XXVI

Thinking about Chytil's hat trick, and one of the nicest things about it was that he never overhandled the puck at all.

He had a tendency to try to do too much with it before, especially on the rush. His game seems so much simpler and more effective right now.

Especially if he gets to play with Kakko or Lafreniere; all he needs to do is be a good puck retriever, find open areas, and get his shot off quickly.

His release was unreal on all 3 goals. Maybe I have selective memory but I don’t remember his shot ever looking that lethal.

Seems obvious they want to name Lafreniere captain but can’t right now

I’d be a little bothered though if I was some of these vets. Guess it doesn’t matter though lol

So the Alternate Captains will be Panarin, Strome, Goodrow, Zib, Kreider and Trouba.

I guess that makes Kakko, Laf and Chytil lieutenants and Nils becomes an ensign. Still no Captain though, but Admiral Reaves does have a certain ring to it.

Captain, however, seems to be impossible to assign.

the golf event happened on the 29th of september, the rangers players were ineligible to participate this year due to league covid requirements

I'm quite certain this is only for this one game :laugh: they wouldn't have Kravtsov make the team to not play him. The fact they're playing Tinordi over Lundkvist makes it seem like this is true.

I'm happy they are actually dressing a lineup like that for this game, makes me think it will actually live up to the hype

I think his shot has always been good (though probably not quite as good as right now). He just wanted to beat guys with dangles or power moves to the net, and wasn't finding those weak spots on the ice quite enough.

I can't remember him doing either of those things last game. Get it deep, attack, find open space, shoot. And that's the hard, straightforward play that Gallant is going to reward guys for.
