contraxt or not, he’s worth much more than that.

we have a crap ton of money coming off the books in a year. We don’t need to clear that and then some now. Cirelli will cost less in dollars than those 2 players combined for next season. After that we should be in the clear barring stupid decisions
 
If Buchnevich is traded in a package for C/LD then we are short on RW depth... any ideas?

Kakko, Chytil, Goat, Potentially Laf as well.

While I don't see the mass turnover happening with this roster, we need to prepare ourselves for the FO to move some actual players/prospects in the coming months. They wont be selling the farm, but they're certainly going to be trading some of the horses.

And hopefully putting Staal out to the pasture.

Kakko is a given and I think he slots nicely in on the projected second line. Kravstov and Gauthier have proven little to nothing at the NHL level, let alone 1st line duties... if Chytil moves to the wing, who do you target as your 3rd line center?
 
I think that Vegas idea is misguided.
Unneccessary. Poor asset management. Trying too hard too soon
Georgie and/or ADA only for youth, in my mind.
Next season means nothing, in my mind.
Contention begins after next or later,
after 4 Cap Hits,
after the Seattle draft,
after this next wave of kids - Laf, Krav, Barron, Tarmo, KAndre have next year behind them Robertson too

Stay the course.
Sure, if a Stastny became free, sure he could help at a reasonable Cap Hit.
Same with a fair price vet D, i guess, especially if signed or RFa after, so meets Seattle quota.

But i dont want 6 weeks in Feb/March, or earning 1stOA, fooling anyone into pushing the remodel at unsafe, selfdefeating speed

But there are a few options...

Bozak, one of Nashville's non Duchene/Turris centers, If you upgrade on Strome, you could slide him back there too.

Depends. Not saying that we ONLY need a 2C. It's just our most pressing need and needs to be addressed.
 
Kreider played 130 minutes on the right of Panarin this season. If they move on from Buchnevich, I think that's a sign they're comfortable with him there.

Gorton can be pretty persistent and we know that he has gone after Puljujärvi hard last season.

Pulju has impressed in Finland. Played a physical game and shown all kinds of determination. I wouldn’t be surprised if Gorton still was very intrigued by him. Could be one of those Fox type of trades. The value could be really good.

If Kreider plays a full season with our PP weapons he's an easy tip in/bang home a rebound. I think he can get there next season.

Is it crazy to move Kreider or slide Lafreniere to RW?

If we are talking big move for a C I think it won’t be obvious cause that will cost DeAngelo. So young guy they build with

If it’s a stop gap then a cap dump like Bozak since Stl needs money for Petriangelo...... I’m also assuming Hanks money is off the books

One kid who was one of the worst forwards in the NHL this season, another kid who bounced back to Russia because he couldn’t even cope with the AHL, another kid who doesn’t play RW, and another kid who scored 2 points as a Ranger. Why would I assume otherwise?

You didn't say anything wrong, but I think it's more apt to call them an unproven group rather than the worst collection of RW in the NHL.

Panarin is a bridge to whenever we get to win now mode.

The Vegas deal only makes sense to me if we are getting back Glass or Krebs or both.
