If you get Lafreniere, and he pans out, there is a good chance the core of the team is shifted dramatically moving forward. So, worrying about who moves down a line or moves out of position is quite besides the point in regards to the decisions the team would make going forward.
Separately -- i've watched a bunch of Lundell footage from this season. I was very aware of his WJC. the thing that's so striking? How does Finland teach skating? These big guys like Kakko hunch over so much when they skate. Their burst, first step is just not very explosive. It feels like a pattern with much of their promising talent. Big dudes. But the NA skating style seems far more upright.
