They need a shakeup really badly. And I would start with firing Drury because I wouldn't trust him to watch my dog. He bungled this team terribly.

But it'll be probably end up with Drury firing Laviolette and hiring Quenneville.

Idk Drury has been just OK. Mika falling off a cliff, Lindgren deteriorating way faster than anticipated, and a few young guys not taking that next step is the issue

It's over, the window has closed.

Time to tear it down. Get a hardass coach in the Torts style.
That might help YOU feel good, but it does nothing for the team
The guy I wanted, Knoblauch, has proven to be the correct choice.

The jockey is irrelevant
Half the horses on this team of jackasses has to go

Brodz, vesey rempe in...Mika kreider Smith out...dont be a coward, do it
NO NO NO on vesey, there is zero reason to keep, he's overrated, cooked and a waste of a roster spot.
no

The rest of the team is dragging down CK
I want to see Zib moved immediately and then assess.

Not that shesterkin is bad but Drury rushing to extend him without letting the season play out to see where this team was headed was a mind boggling decision. 20M invested in Shesterkin and Zibanejad for the next 5 years with full no-move clauses is a terrible way to start a retool or even rebuild.

Drury's performance has been disappointing. While the players' underperformance is a major issue, Drury has failed to improve the team and has repeatedly squandered valuable assets on rentals.

Oh, and one more thing:
the word of the day is Byfield

I see foolish statements as to KAM for Byfield, 1:1, way too little not happening

I wanted us to overpay to get him
I said currency, think

no no no, crazy bern doesn't know what he's talking about...

ONCE AGAIN, BERN IS RIGHT, LEARN WITH THE BERN

Not that I think it'll happen.. but technically I believe he's still under a ten team no trade clause for the season. The NMC doesn't kick in until after this season ends. If Drury really gets ballsy he could still deal him

best move was my suggestion, sell high last yr
now it was either take less for him now, or extend
extend requires his consent on his terms

its evident we have zero shot at making any kind of run if we can even somehow sneak into the playoffs this year. I think we should be sellers this deadline. We can probably get decent value for expiring UFA contracts such as lindgren and smith. Some value there for RFA’s that we may not be willing to lock up long term like Kakko.

Lindgren at 50% retained likely gets a 2nd
Smith at 50% retained likely gets a 2nd
Kakko probably fetches a 2nd + mid tier prospect

I think these are moves worth pursuing. And then guys like KAM, Kreider try to move in hockey trades this offseason.

We have too many physical and mentally weak players in this core. Needs to be shaken up big time. Been saying it for years

= wildly optimistic, not happenin at this pt

Smith at 50% retained likely gets a 2nd
= plausible enuf to be ballpark reasonable

Kakko probably fetches a 2nd + mid tier prospect
= NO, do not sell short just for the sake of selling

our prob is THE VETS:
Zib, Lindy, for starters

lose them first and see what shakes

I think the Rangers are still going to go for it because A) we're still in prime playoff position; B) Chris Drury needs to produce PRONTO as more and more fans are realizing what a fraud he is; and C) we have to make the most out of Sam Rosen's final season (or at least that's how Dolan will see it).
