imo kakko isnt getting faster, hes only going to get slower as he ages.

the thing that was always intriguing about kakko was his potential in the o-zone and below the dots.

the rangers cycle game has been non-existent since like 2014-15, and they are a deplorable transition team. they're using a mini-van like a ferrari. Kakko isn't a transition guy, he can't beat guys in the netural zone and on dump and chase.

hes not going to get the PP time and space that I think he could really shine with, and this team doesn't spend enough time in the o-zone for him do do anything with it

its best to just do a like for like trade and move on

i would be totally in on a dylan cozens swap

he would be a massive upgrade on Lindgren. Fox-Gus would be an amazing pairing.

and i mean, everyone was underwhelming in the playoffs. he was still the 6th best CF and 3rd best xGF player on the team in the playoffs. he looked worse because the whole team was worse.
We all agree that Lindgren's been a disaster (so being a "massive" upgrade over him is NOT THE QUESTION) but you think this year's team would have a good chance to go further than last year's if Gus was paired with Fox (again please don't confuse with the question if Gus is better than Lindgren)?

this defense is better than last years, yes:
Fox, Miller, Schneider, Gus, Jones, Mancini/Lindgren/deadline add

Da Big Apple
Buchnevich wasn't good last year and he's been worse this year. Maybe not extending him was addition by subtraction.
barring exceptions to the rule, rule = should always look to phase out and upgrade profit selling vets, even young vets, for quality youth/futures

the prob there was we had chances to sell Buch, Buch + Georgiev, etc
and of dozen + scenarios to EDM, etc and get back top swag like 8OA

instead we self rented Buch til there was barely a scrap of term left at end of rfa rights

again, R mgmt, listen to bern
like Billy Joel's "The Stranger"
he is not always evil
and he is not always wrong

This team isn't moving Panarin, the owner wants a cup, he will move anyone but Panarin, Lafreniere, Fox and Shesterkin

Thankfully it was Mackey that got the spot, he annoys me the least
LaF leans keeper depending on the return
similar for Shesty

need to sell high on bread
Drury can listen to me now or regret it later

I brought this up a while back, he'd be a guy who Detroit likely would give away for nothing
He was a good bottom-pairing d-man and I'm sure the cost would be next to nothing
Gus was okay ++ -> good for half a season then completely ran out of gas
Remember that?
so no, + more cooked now than before?
Ringo Starr no no song

Why they would vs why they do is almost the same question in my eyes. I do not hate any of our players. I can be disappointed in a players play without making it personal.
the difference between the questions is whom they're directed to. You're asking me to explain why other posters hate our players, and miller kakko lindgren kreider shesterkin zibanejad fox panarin and smith are all hated. I'm saying - go ask them..
