Fire Drury

I don't trust him with trades. He gets bent over backwards no matter what he does.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if Drury is given his pink slip. Dolan will not be happy with the way things are going, but if you are a professional hockey player who can't handle that trade conversations are being had, you should gtfo.

new york itself is an issue. life is comfy here - so many distractions and luxuries.

most guys here just don't want to work that hard. the cost of living is expensive, taxes etc so i guys want top dollar salary. frankly i'm not sure that part will ever change.

can we get a top 4 euro defenseman? these americans and canadians can't get it done.

Just looking out past this season.. you know who's an interesting add? There's been rumors for a while that Minnesota is looking to ship out Rossi. I liked him a lot his draft year. That's one of the players I wanted that draft. He was in our range that summer but we were gifted the 1st overall pick from the lotto instead. They have absolutely no cap space right now. In the summer 13M comes off the cap for them from the Parise and Suter buyouts. I have no idea why they don't like him, some articles speculate why. It's not like their center depth is very good. I believe Hartman was being used as a center over there previously so I don't think sending a center back would be a prerequisite. They could run him and Eriksson Ek as the 1/2. Maybe something centered around Rossi and Kreider in the summer?

If there are legs to the Miller rumor the. I said offer Mika and then kreider at 50 percent for Miller. It might make Mika consider waiving. Vancouver is beautiful. It makes the kind of change that shakes a franchise.

Blame Drury all you want but he’s right. These guys are gutless cowards and massive changes to the personnel and mentality need to occur.
The issue I have is Drury created this. He boxed the roster in with no flexibility and they literally went into camp said the roster was known before camp. That breeds entitlement.

Blow the f***ing thing up. Nothing is off limits.

Again with the same guys out there for nearly 2 and a half minutes with an empty net. Gassed with a minute left.

Tired of seeing Zibanejad whiff on everything. Tired of seeing low effort from their highest paid players.

I'm also tired of seeing Igor bail the team out over and over again. He's going to get tired of it too.

Will Cuylle is our best player right now. That's not good enough. Berard puts their efforts to shame. Kakko is playing out of position and tries more than half the roster. I'd get Lafreniere away from any of Panarin/Mika. You'll get more out of him with the other players.

Jacob Trouba and his agent can f*** straight off. I'd leave half the defense in Philly. Miller, Trouba, Lindgren. It might be time to move from Miller too. Guy has all the tools and no toolbox.

I'd call up more Hartford guys at this rate. You damn well know they'll try.

The last thing, we should have hired Knoblauch. Yes, we don't have McDavid or Draisaitl, but they actually play hard.

Reilly Smith, thanks for the 20ish games, but that's an easy way to move out salary for right now. Get a pick back and then you have roster flexibility.

Time to trade Igor and tear this thing down. I’m so f***ing tired of watching a team get decimated night in night out at the most important facet of the game. I’m tired of watching a team that has no idea how to breakout, no idea how to defend a cycle, no idea how to position themselves inside the offensive zone with the puck. A team that is the worst in the league in terms of puck retrievals. Its horseshit. I’d rather watch a team like Colorado with their goaltending situation any day of the f***ing week than the bullshit the Rangers have thrown out there masquerading as a contending team for a decade.

Get rid of Igor, get rid of Kreider, get rid of Lindgren. Thats a start.

All these guys were here before Drury was in charge. The players have had 3 coaches and they get more apathetic with every passing season. If Drury sits on his hand and done nothing after calling out the players, he should be fired. But I don’t blame him at all for this fiasco.

I'm not at all concerned about losing Panarin or this team's overall skill level. He isn't an 11.6 mil player in the playoffs. I'd much rather have two 6 mil players who actually play to that level in the playoffs.

Will Cuylle doesn't have anywhere close to the skill level of Panarin, yet he has just as many EV points.
Give me a couple of Claude Lemieux types like the Habs had in 93 .

They were not all here when he took over. When he took over there was still some cap and roster flexibility, and the org had assets. He ended that and he has wiped the org of assets besides really just gave, otter, and embryo at this point.

It’s kind of his fault, his first offseason was a disgrace, and he believed in this sack of shit team enough to waste tons of picks on them for rentals who didn’t solve any of their fundamental issues as a team. I wouldn’t bat an eye if he got fired and we went in a different direction honestly.

Would love to be a fly on the wall in Drury's office right now (although it could be dangerous as I imagine he's put a few fist size hole in them over the past few days). Does the recent play make the Igor contract decision easier or harder? Is it actually possible to get rid of the problems on this team? Is trading some of the talent we do have worth the gamble in order to try and fix the roster issues?
