You're seriously attributing the unique situations of both Deangelo and Lias to the coach? This is some piss poor analysis my dude; I'm also far from saying Quinn has been great as a coach. But, come on

The Rangers aren't unique in players having trouble for a wide variety of reasons
Not my intention. I'm legit wondering why the Rangers seem to keep having situations. Quinn is lower on my list of candidates than shit luck, I'm just open to all possibilities.

It's also entirely possible it's possible the Rangers don't have more issue than other franchises, and I just don't hear about it.

Don't wanna keep fueling this fire but it is still weird that they didn't post K'Andre's first goal puck

No no one should believe that the benching made gorton draw a line in the sand. Clearly there was a lot before that benching to get to the point of ONE MORE SCREW UP YOURE GONe
I doubt it was "one more screwup". I don't think they had this level of implosion remotely in mind until it happened. I still can't believe it.

I don't really know what to make of the team's comments. There's clearly more than they're letting on. But they kind of said a lot without really saying anything. More or less expected.

Maybe we could look at Mika's career before Quinn got here and after...that might provide some insight and not necessarily fit into a cozy narrative.
Mika career year(s)
Panarin career year
Strome resurgance
Buchnevich development
*whispers Deangelo career year*
Fox development
Lindgren development
K'Andre development
PDG development

But yeah...

HF when the Rangers regularly lie about player injuries and affairs "insanity!!! we have the right to know! where are the HF doctors?!?"

HF when the Rangers do PR in a situation that will likely define their season and public perception "the Rangers ONLY speak the truth and nothing but the truth, so help us brassgod"

At the risk of getting bitch slapped by the mods, the repeal of the fairness doctrine is why we're in this shit show in the first place - anyone can say whatever the **** they want and call it fact.

Ridiculous statement.

The "Fairness Doctrine" only applied to radio. It was designed to silence conservatives. There's no Fairness Doctrine for TV or TV News. Before Fox News 100% of TV networks were liberal. 100%.

You mentioned just a few, and one of them (Kravstov) hasn't even really had any issue? He came over early and wasn't ready. That is not a surprise at all compared to his peers and it evidently did not throw off his development of his abilities considering how well he has fared in the KHL just this year.

Lias had some very real mental health issues. Deangelo is an entire other can of worms. There are many players that have done many worse things or had much worse issues throughout the NHL in the last few years alone.

It is just unfortunate. But frankly, our guys that develop well have far outweighed the number that have not in my opinion. We are still in the midst of a huge turn around in the organization. This offseason involved the final bits of changing over from roster staples that literally dictated the core, direction, and values for the better part of 2 decades.

“Tony is so well liked in the room and such a good player that we don’t want him anywhere near our farm team or prospects “ lololol
A person can at the same time be a funny jester that everyone enjoys to have around, and on the other hand when he gets on the political mood (usually happens when you drink alcohol) he's the most obnoxious person in the world. These two are not necessarily contradicting eachother.

We don't know the full terms of his latest contract. Given his history I wonder if its A) possible to include behavioral restrictions into the language or B) if the CBA/NHLPA would even agree or allow to include such language.

However, if there are some specific stipulations within all NHL contracts that the Rangers can tap into to void the contract you would have to think they would need to supply ample evidence of such to do so.

It’s impossible to add those, thus we do know the full terms of his latest contract. It’s the boilerplate contract every NHL player signs. The NHL and NHLPA would need to alter the CBA to insert specific or additional language.

Contracts do include some generic language on team rules and off-ice conduct, but the contract states any violations by the player must rise to the level of being a “material breach of contract” before the contract can be terminated. That’s a very high legal standard. Just being a jerk wouldn’t be enough.

The team would likely need to show not just a pattern of conduct that constitutes a material breach, but also documented HR type interactions with the player to attempt to remedy the conduct before taking the step of termination. The PA would surely grieve any attempt by the Rangers to terminate the contract.

Let's do a quick check in on the highest draft picks, can't miss prospects in Rangers history

ahhh shit

Fox, Lindgren and Miller all have one very specific thing in common - they are all college players. Let's see DQ develop a non-college player.
