I have no idea what it is. Maybe it's scouting. Maybe it's the coach. Maybe it's one of the many steps in-between. Maybe it's just shit luck.

I just think it's weird that a franchise known for treating it's players well is continually having player issues.
You're seriously attributing the unique situations of both Deangelo and Lias to the coach? This is some piss poor analysis my dude; I'm also far from saying Quinn has been great as a coach. But, come on

The Rangers aren't unique in players having trouble for a wide variety of reasons

Multiple leaks to multiple people to see who the rat is.

i can see that but would they get K'andre involved in such a capacity? Maybe JD has an evil shrewd side where the ends justifies the means but i don't know.

If Quinn never scratched TDA for being a child then he never would've tried to fight his goalie?

This is excuse making at its finest. A player like this has never earned an ounce of leeway. The baby got what he deserved.
Yep. And if it wasn’t this it just would’ve been something else.

you don't throw a shit fit and attack a teammate because the coach benched you for a few games. that's crazy. regardless of whether quinn should have done it or not if deangelo wasn't a goddamn nutcase then this would have never happened. If he had a big problem with it he should have spoken to gorton, should have dealt with it like a reasonable person, not take it out on a teammate.

blaming quinn for deangelo being out of control and attacking teammates is insane.

The reports so far have been that DeAngelo made a sarcastic remark of some sort to Georgiev and Georgiev was the one who landed the first punch.

Just so I'm clear...

Folks are taking this all at face value, and assuming the organization is doing no spinning, and omitting no information?

You're telling me everyone currently discussing the benching as if it's the crux of the matter and going into deep dives as to whether that one incident provides evidence of Tony's stability and/or Quinn's ability as a coach don't believe @Edge's report, because if it were true, the organization would've come out and shared it all with the media?

Is that what you're saying?

Ain't none of you ever dealt with PR or crisis management in your work lives, that's for sure...

I'm just curious, with the puck issue, is anyone surprised that the team is denying it regardless if it's true? When it broke everyone in here TRASHED the organization as a shit show IF it were true. Ada just got himself sent home from the organization bc of a fight they couldn't hide, why in gods name would they want to even allow any other instances add more gas to this mess. I'm not saying it did happen, but just bc an organization that has an absolute ton of shit on their face right now is denying ANOTHER disastrous thing doesn't mean they are telling the truth. This is damage control top to bottom. We will find out the truth months from now.

The team is trying to shield Miller from even being involved in the known fight, why would they ever consider acknowledging puckgate and potential hazing with one of their studs. That's more embarrassing than the fight was.

IF Herman is right good for him to stand by this, if he is wrong he will have to own this but trying to make a judgement on all this now is foolish. This org looks like a dumpster fire right now and they will do anything to not make the optics worse, although they did the one good thing they could at this point and sent him home...

Maybe we could look at Mika's career before Quinn got here and after...that might provide some insight and not necessarily fit into a cozy narrative.

I’m certainly not crediting Quinn for Mika becoming a stud. He was heading in that direction and put it together. No way in hell am I giving that to Quinn that’s crazy

Yeah, some of it seems pretty obvious, but without indisputable evidence to the contrary, it's not worth fighting about. People will take the team's word at face value when it suits their narrative. I will basically never take their word at face value.
