So I wonder if they will try and terminate the contract or buy it out for 1/3.
I imagine it'll go like this:

1) Hope he gets claimed.
2) If he isn't, try to trade him with salary retained.
3) If no one bites, try to terminate.
4) If the PA fights, send him home while the matter is arbitrated.
5) If the PA wins, buy him out in the summer at 1/3 during the first buyout window.

you couldn’t make up this story if you tried. Jesus

It's bad. It's very bad. Like I said, for them to go straight to "get this guy out of here" is pretty telling.

The real shame of it all is that, honestly, truly, sincerely, ADA was/is well-liked by his teammates.

He's described as a fun guy and passionate. But seriously, the last six weeks have been almost everything people claimed was a problem prior, but really hadn't been.

It was like he said, "screw it" and just gave into everything his detractors thought he was already doing in the locker room.

Would Tony get paid still if the team tells him to go home until they figure out what they’re doing with him?

Would I be wrong in questioning why the NYR org would throw this into a 21 yr old's universe just to see where (if) the leaks are coming from? Seems as if using the kid (K'Andre) as "bait" is not smart. I'm sure he has enough on his plate.

Don't get me wrong, I always appreciate your info @Edge but this seems cut throat to me

Well, it depends on who did the throwing. If it's a leak that came from the PR department, that's where the problem is. Not so much the front office calling Herman and saying, "Hey guess what?"

doe this make sense, or seem feasible, to anyone else?
Ghost hasn't been a regular under AV

Thanks @Edge we are lucky to have you.

What a terrible situation honestly.

It upsets me that everyone on the team including and perhaps especially Miller had to endure DeAngelo’s BS.

I also will say, perhaps controversially but I hope not, that I hope DeAngelo gets some help. He clearly went down some dark alleys of the mind. And no that is not intended as a directly political comment...there are similarities with addiction in the damage it done by bleeding uncontrollably into his life.

For all I know his agent is lying and doesn't want it out there for his client.

However, his agent isn't a Noob. I'd be very surprised if he would put something out there that he'd have to contradict later. You typically punt or decline comment (preferably without saying "No comment").

But, it has happened. When it does, you just shake your head.

Ian Pulver worked for the NHLPA before starting his own agency. He knows how to diffuse the situation and call for calmer heads to prevail. Pulver knows how hockey players think. I am sure this is not the first time players have had disagreements. Tony just wore out his welcome.

This behavior is pervasive everywhere; it is like a new addiction in the world. It's an illness.
I was going to say we all have people we know and love that have just been completely brainwashed with this crap and cannot leave it alone it’s awful there’s just no place for it. You can’t sit in a lockerroom with your black teammate and spew racist comments about BLM etc. forget it. You can’t do it in your office you’d be fired too. We’ve got to get to another level together for f***ssake and progress.

@Edge thank you for sharing as always.

getting hit didn’t appear to be on his radar. It’s understandable in that league while the awareness is higher in North America. Awful to see a possible head injury. Surprised how the game still differs on the boards

That's why I have a hard time seeing him say something that he'd have to walk back or contradict.

Even if it was true, and he didn't want to talk about it, he'd probably go with something like, "This is an internal team matter and K'Andre is a part of the team. It will be handled internally and we have no further details to share at this time."

And with this, I can now share what I know.

And before we get questions about me coming in "after the fact" I purposefully told a handful of people so that they could confirm when I was able to share (I do this as a safeguard for those who still think I am pulling shit out of my ass):

ADA has been increasingly vocal in the locker room about certain race and social issues and supposedly been making those comments very well know.

He has also not been quiet about some of the changes in this country over the last few months and weeks.

For the most part, there’s an understanding that what you do on your own time is your own business. But ADA has apparently been taking his cues from the more active factions in the world and it is bleeding into the locker room.

This includes going out of his way to make comments that he doesn’t think there’s a big racial problem in the nation, recent events being fake news, etc.

That might not be a huge issue, save for the fact that he’s the one who keeps mentioning. Requests to get him to knock it off have not gone well. The leadership of this team, namely Trouba has taken him aside and told him to leave that stuff at the door and not let it become a distraction.

The other night, he went after Georgiev, got in his face, pinned him to the wall and then tried to choke him. Trouba and Miller stepped into separate them, and then ADA turned on them. Trouba basically bear hugged him and dragged him into the locker room by his jersey. What happened behind closed doors is unknown to me at this time. ADA also told "Miller to go f*** himself" among some other choice comments.

The other night was the final straw with someone who many believe cannot separate the politics and hit button issues from the locker room, views himself as having “made it”, and has really just not done a good job of controlling himself or conducting himself in a proper manner.

Now that it is leading to physical confrontations, the Rangers are basically done with him.

So NOW you know most of what I do.
I can vouch for edge on this. We had a discussion last night and as per usual his information was spot on

Thanks for the info @Edge

Are you able to confirm or deny this happened before and led to DeAngelo choking out Georgie? Seems odd for it to escalate to that without a prescursor
