And with this, I can now share what I know.

And before we get questions about me coming in "after the fact" I purposefully told a handful of people so that they could confirm when I was able to share (I do this as a safeguard for those who still think I am pulling shit out of my ass):

ADA has been increasingly vocal in the locker room about certain race and social issues and supposedly been making those comments very well know.

He has also not been quiet about some of the changes in this country over the last few months and weeks.

For the most part, there’s an understanding that what you do on your own time is your own business. But ADA has apparently been taking his cues from the more active factions in the world and it is bleeding into the locker room.

This includes going out of his way to make comments that he doesn’t think there’s a big racial problem in the nation, recent events being fake news, etc.

That might not be a huge issue, save for the fact that he’s the one who keeps mentioning. Requests to get him to knock it off have not gone well. The leadership of this team, namely Trouba has taken him aside and told him to leave that stuff at the door and not let it become a distraction.

The other night, he went after Georgiev, got in his face, pinned him to the wall and then tried to choke him. Trouba and Miller stepped into separate them, and then ADA turned on them. Trouba basically bear hugged him and dragged him into the locker room by his jersey. What happened behind closed doors is unknown to me at this time. ADA also told "Miller to go f*** himself" among some other choice comments.

The other night was the final straw with someone who many believe cannot separate the politics and hit button issues from the locker room, views himself as having “made it”, and has really just not done a good job of controlling himself or conducting himself in a proper manner.

Now that it is leading to physical confrontations, the Rangers are basically done with him.

So NOW you know most of what I do.
Thank you for sharing Edge.

This is the info I have been waiting for. Its completely understandable why this has gotten to where it is. Its time for him to go.

All I wanted was the information. Not some BS puck stealing story.

Maybe in a sick way this situation brings the team together.

1 Player out whom was causing issues in the locker room and 22 hopefully on the same page.

Most likely there are other issues like certain players needing to step up their game on the ice but a locker room divided is not helpful.

Good for Trouba whom some posters don't care for and better for Miller to not back down because he's a rookie and ADA is a vet.

One way or another I believe we have seen the last of ADA on the Rangers--I'm sure it pisses alot of people off including myself who thought he might have turned the corner last year.

Send him to anywhere the moon if needed he just can't come back to the team anyway shape or form.

What a time to be a NY fan. Mets, Jets, Rangers all in chaos or having a major problem recently.

thnk god the mets nipped it in the butt fast and fired porter. But then cohen has to go put and get involved in gamestop.

are the knicks the most stable team right now? Is this bizzaro world?

it’s disrespectful not to mention Dave Gettleman’s mess

Just a weird and sad ending for all

Can thank Thibs for that

JFC. Tony can go f*** himself. I'm so, so, so glad we have K'Andre on this team.

Maybe it would be wrong to read into the team's effort in tonight's game as a reflection on this move, but it'd be nice to see a positive response.

Only thing missing in your account is did Georgiev physically touch ADA after ADA only used words ?

Thank you for this common sense. Thank you.

For all I know his agent is lying and doesn't want it out there for his client.

However, his agent isn't a Noob. I'd be very surprised if he would put something out there that he'd have to contradict later. You typically punt or decline comment (preferably without saying "No comment").

But, it has happened. When it does, you just shake your head.

Rule #1 of just about any workplace is no politics (of course unless you are working in that realm). It's just not going to end well for anyone. It creates an absolutely toxic work environment. They attempted to get him to just stop and he just was not willing to listen.

Until that changes, he's not going to get another gig in the NHL. I believe if nobody claims him, which from Brooks sounds most likely, and there is no trade route that gets traction, he's going to ask for his contract to be terminated and go overseas. He'll get money from the KHL. I'm not sure that is the best place to rehab your career when talent is not the question, but that is where he will get paid.

A different Twitter account says that geo threw the first punch, but edge’s comments say that tony switched from punches to choking. That’s an escalation that’s beyond a normal locker room scuffle.

I had 2 guys somewhat similar to ADA on my teams in juniors. Both in NA and Europe. One year older than myself. Bullies. Wise asses. Mean. But both very good at hockey. Once was whipped by one of them with a towel in a not so appropriate place in the shower after a loss. The other guy tried to urinate on me. I threw the first and last punch both times and they were both off the teams not so long after the things that had happened. Neither of them rebounded as players as they thought themselves as being exceptionally untouchable and imperative for the team. Guess what? They were not. I was starting goalie back then.

Re: Herman

Yes, he indeed has sources. Of that there is no doubt. I know people who know him. They say he's a likeable enough kid.

He does have a tendency to editorialize and get some of the details wrong, and I don't know if he's considered someone on the short list of information for them. But I'm confident he gets a good feed.

The question is whether the puck story was hearsay that was passed down, whether it is true but covered up, and/or whether it was purposefully floated to see where it shows up.

Right now, I suspect there's at least an element of that third part.
Would I be wrong in questioning why the NYR org would throw this into a 21 yr old's universe just to see where (if) the leaks are coming from? Seems as if using the kid (K'Andre) as "bait" is not smart. I'm sure he has enough on his plate.

Don't get me wrong, I always appreciate your info @Edge but this seems cut throat to me

Back in junior we had a guy in the room that was a problem, but he was basically one of our tough guys and was top 3 in points on the team. We all agreed basically to just ride it out but it was the wrong decision because he blew up after we lost game 2 of playoffs and the team had to get rid of him then, the timing wasnt great because there was a few guys that wanted him back because they knew we would probably lose the series without him, it kinda divided the room in the end and we ended up having to trade 2 players the following year because of it. 1 player can really ruin a room. Hopefully they can all get past this and string together some wins

Question, Edge, that you may or may not know the answer to. Lemieux is a noted MAGA person as well. How has he acted the last few months? Is he like TDA or is he more low-key?
I know that Strome "liked" at least a couple of Tony's political tweets before Tony deleted twitter, but I don't think I've ever seen him post anything politically motivated.

If you're an athlete/entertainer, or really any kind of public figure, your best bet is to keep your opinions very quiet. You're going to piss someone off, and they won't forget it.

Case in point, I still remember that Strome liked some of Tony's tweets, even though it probably happed 6 to 9 (nice) months ago.

Ive been a big Tony D supporter but given what @Edge has revealed, there is no room for that shit in the locker room. Just shut the f*** up and play hockey.

I figured his twitter was separate from his real word life but apparently it was just a window into it.
Edge did say that up until this year he had been capable of keeping the two separate.
Which was probably what we hoped for when we gave him that 2 year deal.
