i wasn’t ...this was clearly another rebuild year and management even said so

it’s the youngest team in the league and next year cap space opens up for much needed adds

plus they are barely losing games they are just not finishing . It’s gonna get better but they are not making the playoffs

Would rather get something than nothing for DeAngelo. Yandle can man the 2nd PP unit.

Yandle has a NMC. Not sure that he'd waive it to return, not sure that him waiving it means we wouldn't still have to protect him in the expansion draft.

They could choose to terminate his NMC in that scenario and then wouldn’t be forced to protect him

That makes two of us. He might not be as good as he once was, but would instantly become our best defensive forward.

I am all for looking into Mete separately.

But I think if we need to take salary back, Yandle and Stepan are two guys that would make sense. Yandle gives us RD depth until Lundkvist is here. Or Schneider. And he can still put up points. Stepan can play 3C and PK.

We all knew ADA was not a part of the teams future.... We have Trouba and Fox now... with Lundkvist and Schneider on the way. It was well established that his time here is limited.

The major issues are how things have been going this season.... this is a culmination of that.

I defended Quinn for the most part and looked at player development. When our top forward prospects struggle the way they have, it raises major red flags.
