As well as the McDonagh+Miller trade. That Stepan return was... almost fireable
As well as the McDonagh+Miller trade.
We got Lundkvist at the least but still. Giving up Miller for Hajek?

what if it's Quinn? The whole board is waiting to hear who got punched. If its Johnson, fans want a contract extension. If it's Kreider, there will be an effort to hack ADA's IP address and photoshop mittens on his school photo.
I agree not every team can or would want to claim him, but I don’t see it being the precursor to a trade. His value is bargain bin now. Unless we’re ok with a 4th rounder or a tweener to eliminate the cap hit, I don’t see it happening.I don't think anyone claims him.
Competitive teams dont have cap
Bad teams dont have $$$
Could be the first move to another trade
But they didn’t.Return was fine. Use of the assets didn't work out. Massive difference. If they listened to other scouts and Nick Suzuki was the pick instead of Lias, there'd be nothing to complain about even with DeAngelo being a psychopath.
But they didn’t.
DeAngelo was always a strange inclusion in that deal. Arizona had a ton of other assets
I accept mistakes. I'm used to Sather. If you're expecting a GM who never makes mistakes, you are going to be sorely disappointed.
Who hit his peak and started deteriorating one season later.I accept mistakes. I'm used to Sather.
BUT When you miss that bad, trading your Captain? along with a young top6 center
I don't know about Georgievs temper, but given his world views I'm sure he wasn't exactly best friends with DeAngelo.Oh man. What if it was Georgiev?? After the botch!
It absolutely does. That’s ridiculous to state otherwise.Again, how they used the assets they got has absolutely zero bearing on the trade value they received. Trying to argue otherwise is pointless.
Have you not watched McDonagh play?Who hit his peak and started deteriorating one season later.
