This is very true. The Rangers are an organization that has had players who have had off ice issues before (Sean Avery, Billy Tibbetts, Theo Fleury) and have given them the opportunity to play. Talent and production are still important to any NHL team.
99.99% sure that this isn’t true but for all we know Connor McDavid could be an absolute dirtbag of a human being that only cares about himself and is a locker room cancer. Even knowing this would you want him on your team?
DeAngelo has worn out his welcome with the Rangers, that’s the one thing that is for sure based on Quinn’s comments. But there is an NHL team out there that could benefit from his skill set, but maybe not at his current cap hit and not with the current economic situation in the league. He should clear waivers tomorrow and will most likely never play for the Rangers again. A trade will be the only solution where salary would need to be retained and possibly even a pick needs to be attached.
Teammates won’t always get along as there are probably many instances where they have gotten into fights with one another and we never hear about them in public. DeAngelo had one good year for us as he was playing for this current contract. If he hasn’t already done so he needs to man up and apologize for his actions and apologize to his entire team even if he never plays with them again.
