There is probably lots of things going on behind the scenes that none of us know about, But at this point some may think this is an over reaction by management but maybe they are just fed up. At some point maybe ADA has become a destructive force and needs to be dealt with in this way. For those old enough to remember and that are baseball fans reminds me a bit of when Yankees got rid of Mel Hall when he was nasty to a young Bernie Williams. Grant it there is more here from a race perspective but for the Yanks that was a start to cleaning up the locker room which led to future success. Maybe this had to happen.

To this point, ADA's personal life and beliefs have been separate from his locker room interactions.

In recent weeks, there has been a breach of that separation. The problem is that it's been...abrasive and causing problems behind the scenes. To this point, it's been an annoyance. But last night's altercation apparently goes beyond just Georgiev.

It was the way he went after Georgiev, and the way he reacted to those who jumped into separate them. The latter almost led to another altercation in the locker room.

Basically, Tony is f***ed because he cannot control himself and now it has become a locker room issue.

As for the state of the Rangers, views around the league are nowhere near as bleak as the board.

What I can’t get over is that Tony had the constant off ice headaches that were all completely avoidable. Like I’m not even talking about what his opinions are or aren’t but if the organization tells you to stop tweeting or only tweet hockey stuff, the 9 million dollar contract you just signed and your standing as an NHL player, something you worked your whole life for, isn’t enough for you to stop tweeting? Every time you say something stupid online it makes the organization get that much more fed up with you. So it’s like a million little cuts.

If I worked my entire life to be an NHL player, broke through and had a breakout year and signed a 9 million dollar contract and was warned multiple times and give tons of second chances you can bet your ass that I would not ever tweet and I would be a model citizen in the locker room. It’s ridiculous the immaturity Tony has displayed. And the organization has given him tons of chances.

Teams don't react when you do heinous shit, they react when the heinous shit you do becomes public. Such is the world of being in the top 0.0000001 whatever the f*** percentile of what you do.
