I've seen anywhere from 5-9 for him.

Slept on it. Feels like this is the kind of stuff that happens regularly behind close doors. Players fight each other in practice a few times a year let alone a few altercations off the ice. Emotions and tensions high after another bad loss, I don't see the physical altercation as some kind of untenable situation. If this was a different player, we'd chalk it up to tensions and the frustration of not winning hockey games and it's good to get it out of the system. The guys care etc. etc. Listening to Mika and Troubs, they weren't throwing Tony under the bus even if he's been copping a bad attitude since day 1 of camp. This is more of a reflection on Quinn and Gorton for choosing to go this route and perhaps running out of patience, rightfully so or not depending on just how Tony has been in the locker room.

Yup he F’ed himself like always. Now we wait for the fallout. It shows a lot that the #4 point getting D man last year had minimal trade value.
TDA should be suspended too before getting released.

The fight was just the last straw. He hurt his value with the twitter fiasco.
It's not about his opinions, it's the way he went about it. He spoke publicly on controversial issues and said things that are going to bother some people. Whether you agree or not isn't the point -- every team in the league would prefer you don't do that.

On an optimistic note, if Avery was able to play a few years in New York without causing problems in the locker room, Dangelo should be able to work out whether issues he has with his teammates. If not get rid of him permanently.

I always laugh when I see a main account of someone affiliated with any company or organization on twitter flinging shit around and in their bio they have "My opinions are my own and not affiliated with my employer" as if that has any realistic value at all

That is so vague and open to interpretation. We assume Tony started it, but it could easily be Georgie confronting him for the body language and shoving him first. It could be Geo crossing a line followed by a disproportionate response from ADA. It could be Tony instigating it totally and Geo is totally the victim. But right now people are letting their bias bleed into their interpretation of very vague reports.
