If Kreider really did punch him in the face, then he isn't suitable to be an alternate captain.
I've never assaulted a coworker and I've had some intense verbal arguments.

This should also result in Quinn's termination. He's clearly lost the locker room.

Poor asset management on NYR part. Oh well. Guess we'll have to deal with him on Pit or NYI or NJD burning us for the next 8-10 years.

Agreed. Shouldn't have fist fights over whose fault it was in OT. Seems like a lot of guys are frustrated and/or fed up.

But I think with the disarray and bound to get some puck luck it's time to bet on the Rangers tomorrow lol.

Should tell you everything you need to know that Larry is saying no one wanted to trade for Tony after coming in 4th scoring wise amongst defenseman last summer

Well he wouldn't come cheap both asset and contract wise and we hit a flat cap. I don't know cap situations off the top of my head but are there any teams available that can fit him in right now? Rangers may be banking he gets through and they save money.

The people that were “right” about Tony D are surely going to revel in this moment but this is nothing but objectively bad for the team.

1. It shows poor planning and assessment.
2. They’re not getting anything in return for what was once a pretty valuable asset.
3. There is no one to take his place today.
1. Wouldn’t you assume they thought he WAS an asset...and paid for it? They invested, and HE was the one who f ucked up. That’s not on the Team.
2. Join us here in 2021...he’s easily replaceable for what he was currently bringing.
3. Seriously? Who can give us one secondary assist over six games and be on the ice for more than half the goals against at even strength? Hell... let’s get @Machinehead out there....he can bring us that and then some.

So there has been some players who were dissapointed that trouba got the A over Tony. Seems like there isn’t a good spirit in the locker room rn. And to clear things up you need a captain, AND a real coach who has a voice in the room. Gallant comes to mind..
I'd be all over Gallant. We have the makings for a St. Louis Blues run lol.

Is that Trouba thing true? If that's the case then this team really is a mess internally.

Have you ever punched someone from a competing company in the face?

What kinda bush league is Quinn allowing in the locker room? Quinn should be immediately fired.

Georgiev, Kreider and deAngelo all waived and bought out. No tolerance for this. We got young studs in Lafreniere, Fox, Shestorkin and Kakko and we’re trying to develop them with this crap going on?

None of these players are worth messing up our future.

Is Zibanejad easily replaceable? I assume plenty of players can give us 1 goal and 1 assist in 8 games.

Anybody know what actually happened that caused them to waive ADA? I am beyond shocked. Was it an overreaction by the GM?

Let Dibs and Hajek play.

JJ and Smith are trainwrecks.

And let's start the Matty Beniers to the Rangers Bandwagon since we will be picking top 5-7

That's for cap reasons and financial reasons. He's a good offensive weapon. Good teams can't afford to pay a 3rd pair defenseman that much. It makes no sense for bad teams to take on larger debts at this point in time while also giving something up in value.

His game is reminiscent of Kevin Shattenkirk IMO. Comparing them both as Rangers, I like Tony's offense better.

Salary for Salary trade is now more likely

Ohhhh....so it’s a “whatabout” situation now? My apologies, as I was answering the actual post which couldn’t fathom how we could replace ADA in the lineup.

Would you like to start a thread to discuss the Zib situation? I mean, it’s not the main theme at the moment, but go for it.

No. It was a simple question asking if Zibanejad is easily replaceable because your logic (Point 3) seems to have been that DeAngelo is easy to replace because he is off to a bad start this year. Zibanejad is also off to a bad start this year. If one is easy to replace then why isn't the other?

So who punched DeAngelo? Because the twitter junkies and HF have already claimed half the roster sonked him. My point is there’s ZERO evidence of anything happening last night except some kid on a YouTube comment and the entire thread is going on a tangent on what happened when they have no idea and you’re telling me come on man, lol.
He is good, but not worthy the headache for NHL teams. This is clearly now.
This remind me of a quote from Ronaldinho Gaúcho to another player " if you like to party, you have to kick ass in the game". In portuguese the phrase is better.

I also won't kill Gorton for not dealing TDA, because if he couldn't get value after last season, he wasn't going to get it.

Now, Quinn's locker room is a complete different story. Especially after he took those jabs at Kakko after the OT win the other night.

Did not see the Rangers becoming that team this year.
