Really a shame this whole debacle has gone the way it has.

Move on and fix it. The organization has been in for a rough ride over the last 2 seasons.

I do really hope the organization hasn’t already decided to move Lundkvist.

If he comes over and plays well here late this season it could do wonders for this team, and also up his trade value if it comes to that for a star center

The people that were “right” about Tony D are surely going to revel in this moment but this is nothing but objectively bad for the team.

1. It shows poor planning and assessment.
2. They’re not getting anything in return for what was once a pretty valuable asset.
3. There is no one to take his place today.

For all we know, they might’ve been trying to trade him since last season.

Any return will be a cap dump, probably. There won’t be much value, unfortunately. Still, I’ll take a veteran on this team.

For #3, Smith plays the right side, then. They’ll manage.

Smith stinks and was already "filling" the whole on the left.

I still think he could be a main stay. I do not know how much time Schneider needs but he's most likely Trouba's replacement, no?

I'd prefer to have big nasty d-men like Trouba and Schneider if it came down to it though. Fox has all the makings of being a career Ranger

Listen y’all, I’m 5’10 195 former special operations and NCAA hockey. I’ll wear #77, say I vehemently apologize to my teammates, never talk about politics and be at least as bad defensively as ADA. We can make this all go away for literally 1/30th of the salary. Maybe less. Probably less.

If we tried to trade him in the Summer/Fall or whenever.....why would they pay him 4.8 Million and not 2.8 Million ? It's obvious Gorton rolled the dice on him and wanted to run with him again and hoped Martin would fix him for Quinn . Giving him 4.8 would have made him even harder to move if things did not work out as we see now . Nope....he was being kept around for his offensive play .

... hows your heart rate?

While a lot of this falls on Tony, Quinn deserves some of the blame for how he handles things.
If Tony or Smith take that penalty 10s into the game and not Fox, they get crucified and their asses are on the line.

Do we can move Trouba? It was a pretty long commitment.

If Kreider really did punch him in the face, then he isn't suitable to be an alternate captain.
I've never assaulted a coworker and I've had some intense verbal arguments.

This should also result in Quinn's termination. He's clearly lost the locker room.

Poor asset management on NYR part. Oh well. Guess we'll have to deal with him on Pit or NYI or NJD burning us for the next 8-10 years.

People realize Yandle plays LD correct? Not right. So if he was brought in, he’d be a bottom-pairing LD and 2nd PP guy on the left side. It would open up the 3RD spot

Smith and Johnson are so bad.... they get scratched and benched.... yet they both are on PK1. How does that compute?

Hopefully this means Miller will be getting more PK time now.... but knowing Quinn, it will just be more Smith.
