The KHL season is over in three weeks. Not sure if Rykov's or Kravtsov's teams are poised to make their playoffs.
comfortably :(

Do you guys think we bring him over once they’re eliminated?

This team needs to re-evaluate Brett Howden. I am not like most people where I ridicule him like crazy but they certainly can do better. He doesn't handle the puck well, fumbles most chances, isn't fast, weak on the boards, etc. How is Lafreniere going to do anything with him? Centers drive play, and to be asking a 19 year old who hasn't played competitively since last March (aside from these ten games) to drive a line himself is a joke. He is going to probably put up a poor statline this year but whatever. They need a C badly.

I stopped reading at Howden. Just a matter of time before he's Seattle bound.
Yeah, they still need help at C.

I didn't realize there was a decision needing to be made.... It's Shesterkin, your #1 goalie.

From how the quote is phrased, Quinn has already made the decision.

He's just not telling people, like a bunch of coaches are doing lately.

Management won't, but that won't stop a segment of our posters from calling for it.

No one is calling for him to come back or doubt will be. The posters you are referring to think he is a good hockey player and have not forgotten last season so quickly.

Quinn plays Georgiev and we lose - "why didn't he play Igor?"

Quinn plays Igor and we lose - "why didn't he play Georgiev, he has a better track record"

Reality - if they want to beat the islanders, they need to play a smart north south game and as long as our goalie isnt swiss cheese, whoever is in our net may not be the reason we win or lose.

So...we face Isles in the playoffs.

Are we benching Shesty the whole series just because Georgie owns them? Then bring in Shesty cold for the next series? Meanwhile piss off Georgiev if he has success? Way to mess with your #1's psyche and cause an unnecessary rift.

A goalie has to be the most mentally tough guy on your team. The last thing he needs is the Coaching staff putting any doubts from any angle, into his head. Rip the bandaid off and let him power through it now before a situation like a playoff match-up presents itself this season or next.

Maybe the answer is to put A's on both their chests too.

That's over thinking it.

Georgiev is a backup. Shesterkin does not need backing up. He is FINALLY getting into a rhythm and playing well.

If Shesterkin plays that is the case. If back to Georgiev then status quo.
